A big moose (check out those antlers!) in Denali National Park. Antlers are the fastest-growing tissue in mammals, growing up to an inch per day during the summer! The growth cycle is controlled by the ratio of daylight to darkness, and the antlers are fully grown by August or September. Bulls shed their antlers every winter, after mating season is over.
