The Amex Shop Small starts today until December 22nd.

You will get £5 back on a £10 purchase at many small retailers local to you. The aim is to support local companies and not the big boys at this time of year. If you would like to support local small traders, feel free to share this post.

You will need to register for the offer either via the Amex website portal login or via the Amex app. Click 'save to card' under offers once logged in.

All Amex cards can be used including branded ones, such as Costco and Vitality. However corporate and pre-paid do not. As long as you have set up a separate login for supplementary card holders, they can also benefit.

You can only use each card once in any shop, but you could use more than one card on different purchases. There is also a cap of £50 on any one card.

Qantas are about to release some very cheap tickets to Australia!!

They will have a 100 hour sale on where I expect to see discounted business and first class tickets. As everything is under wraps for now, you know as much as I do!!

As part of their birthday celebrations they will be releasing some extremely cheap economy tickets downunder - these are expected to be limited to 100 golden tickets for a very low price. Maybe £1 maybe £100 - at this time I do not know.

If you have the American Express Platinum card you should find a £200 credit on a £600 spend with American Express Travel.

With the Virgin sale starting yesterday and the BA sale due to start in the next 48 hours it gives a good saving if you can take advantage.

Hilton have announced details of their promotion for the first part of 2019 giving a good chance of earning bonus points for stays.

Registered members will earn 2,000 Bonus Points per stay during the promotion period

An additional 10,000 Bonus Points will be awarded for every 5th stay completed or every 10th night completed, whichever comes first

Planning to spend a penny whilst at a railway station? From April 1st Network Rail has announced that it is scrapping the charges for spending a penny.
