đ¸đť El Salvador is full of magnificent landscapes and kind, gentle people that wish more of us would give their country a chance. We were greeted with surprise and excitement by seemingly everyone that we encountered and we put our trust in many Salvadorans throughout our trip with no regrets. It is too easy for folks to write places off as dangerous or just bad, but those folks are only ever getting the tiniest part of that placeâs history, likely portrayed in some inflated manner to garner fear and tribalism for clicks. What a sad way to live!! Go visit El Salvador! Hike up cerro verde volcano, climb up waterfalls and swim in them with Elmer and zipline in Apaneca! Rent a car and drive to viewpoints over Lake Coatepeque after visiting the charming towns along the Flower Route while sipping world class coffee! Try out your Spanish skills to order pupusas or yuca from sweet old ladies! Visit Mayan ruins and surf beaches! Have a crazy hostel owner drive you around on your last night in search of local pastries after she hears that youâre about to leave the country before getting to try them đ Life is for the living yâall! Hit me up for recommendations, WhatsApp numbers, whatever! Give El Salvador a chance đ¸đť
