Are direct flights the same as nonstop flights?
Whilst they sound very similar, non-stop and direct flights are not the same. As the name suggests, non-stop will fly between two cities without … well… stopping. Direct flights, on the other hand, might actually stop, en route to your destination.
A direct flight can stop to pick up more passengers at another airport or several airports while keeping the same flight number and not letting passengers off the flight before continuing on to the destination.

Watched a spectacular sunrise from the plane this morning, landing nice and early into Ft. Myers just before 9am. After arriving at the JW Marriott Marco Island, getting settled, exploring, eating unbelievable food and having been given the best room I've ever had, now watching the sunset after this beautiful, long day. Good night 😴
