I stumbled across this story while I was researching Vicountess Ossington (of Ossington coffee palace in Newark upon Trent) last year. Her eccentric brother fascinates me! Rumour has it that if he found courting couples on his estate at night time he would jump out of the bushes shouting "boo" at them. A true eccentric me thinks! Wellbeck Abbey might be worth a visit Nottinghamshire folk!

Here is a post of pure joy. Yesterday I met up with my friend who gave me my first job in heritage (we went to an extortionately expensive soft play centre and watched our children run feral). She gave me this perfect brooch from the 1890s with my name on it. Thank you. Not only did you start me on this journey you have been my biggest supporter since.

Well, what a year it's been and very soon the Little Squire will turn 2! Mildred will be back in 2024 with more talks, new shows, and hopefully a better tiktok account (I'm really not good at tiktok!)

Dearest all,

I am ill. Tis no simple case of an over tight corset, drospy, or a fit of the vapours........ I have the Covid! I have taken to my sick bed to recover and am frankly alarmed by the amount of nasal mucous my face is producing! I am heart broken not to be able to attend my final engagements of the year.
I hope to drag my poor self from my sickbed in time for Christmas!

Me, over dramatic? Would you have me any other way?
