One of our friends messaged me this in hopes someone has additional information on this :

I heard about this from the old pastor (70s) of Greer Church. Looking for more information.

Ohio 514 and Chapel Rd. outside of Greer Ohio has what I believe is the only visible remnant of a small branch line that never was. Investors, with big dreams but small pockets, rushed to put together a line that would branch from the TWV&O, and cross the country side to connect Danville to the railroad. While cutting the RoW, they ran out of money, so, the same as the 'Calico Road' out west, started paying the workers with bolts of calico. Due to delays, caused by the marshes and sandstone hills along the route, the company was beaten by the C.A. & C, and dissolved before laying any track.

The current satellite photo shows a home and treeline. The home is actually built within a rock cut. As a kid, that section of 514 had a bump, that has since been removed by ODOT. I'm not sure of any other visible remnants, as a lot of the land has been drained and flattened for agriculture.

I was told he was taken to the Knox county animal shelter .

My friend found sweet little girl in the Wally road/mohican area on 211.
He'd sure love to find the owner ❤️

I don't do this often, but felt the need to reach out to anyone interested in helping this amazing group of people who have overcome major obstacles and given their all to create a unique equine educational program for children. From private lessons, 4-h groups, and public trail rides ... This group leaves no child behind.
They have always tirelessly participated in our Wally road and Mohican river clean ups.
So please give generously to help save these horses and ensure this program continues to thrive.

Believe it or not..... Bigfoot lives amongst us.....😱

A Loudonville Ohio woman thinks she may have recorded Bigfoot howls near her home in July 2022. Suzanne Ferencak encountered Bigfoot before, with an incident of a Bigfoot creature crossing a back road near her home in May of 2013. The two-minute recording by Ferencak captures sounds of an unidentified howling in the distance. This recording is being characterized as unlike anything she has ever heard before in the woods.
A ranger report from August 2020, reports that family while primitive camping at Pleasant Hill Lake Park were startled by hearing rocks being thrown at the tent in the middle of the night. The family called 911 and a Park Ranger responded and took statements and filed a report. The reports reads, “They observed something run into the woods,” “The witnesses described what they saw as a tall, dark and hairy fique run and disappear into the woods. Witness said the first thing he thought of when he saw it was Bigfoot.”

Ohio ranks fourth in the nation for number of reported bigfoot sightings according to Bigfoot Research Organization at bfro.org

Tears in my eyes for sure...

MOHICAN TRASH MOB! — Informal river litter cleanup this Saturday, Sept. 9. Trying to line up a few larger canoes for trash. And a livery to provide canoes. If not, participants will have to bring their own boats. We'll provide bags and trash removal service. Most likely noon till 2 p.m. or so. Target area TBD. Most likely putting in at SR 3 and 97 public access and take out at Greer. Stay tuned.
