We are delighted to announce our new off peak rate of just £200 per week.
This rate applies outside Easter and the summer holidays, and still includes gas and electricity during your stay.
Please be aware that during the off peak periods the bar and takeaway on site are not open every night, and the pools don't open until the Whitsun half term. (Hence the even cheaper rates that peak season)

Camping Du Quinquis, the site where our caravan is located, is really in the most lovely position. Hidden down a country track, surrounded by trees and swaying fields of golden corn, it's protected from the husstle and bustle of high season, while being less than a mile to the nearest restaurant and beach.
It's about a mile and a half to the pretty little town of Clohars- Carnoet, with it's small supermarket that's open until 8pm (that's really late in France),
Then there's my favourite town of Guidel, about 4 miles away, with it's larger supermarket, friendly English speaking vets, pizza takeaway, pretty town centre, and weekly market; as well as the beach area of excellent seafoods restaurants with stunning sea views and 'go faster' coffee.
There's also Le Poldu, Moelan Sur Mer, and Doelan, all pretty seaside villages.
Further afield- but still only about 15-20 minutes drive away are the larger towns of Lorient and Quimperle with every big store you could possibly want, as well as larger markets and a waterpark.

This is our own caravan, so we've stocked it with all the things we love doing on holiday, and more. We've taken a brand new 32" TV to the caravan, but due to the no satellite rule, on site there is no reception in the van itself.
We have provided 2 cupboards full of DVDs and CDs, and a CD player, and a PS 2 and games. There's also lots of books, games and drawing paper.
There is WiFi available for an additional cost from the site, and we have left a HDMI cable so you can take films on your phone or laptop. We tried using our Amazon account, but couldn't due to geographical limitations. You could also load up a USB stick and plug that directly into the TV.
Never fear though- any big sports events are shown on the big screen at the bar.
There's so much to do on the site and locally, there really isn't much time for watching T.V. We didn't miss it at all.

The main reasons we felt confident buying our caravan without viewing it first were the consistently excellent reviews the site recieved on Trip Adviser, and the site website- www.campingquinquis.com
Not only were we not disappointed- we were blown away.
The site is beautiful, the facilities are excellent, and the takeaway offers the most delicious meals to be enjoyed at your caravan.
Not to mention being able to order breakfast croissants and a baguette online on the drive down! If you like almonds I cannot recommend the almond croissant enough- nothing you've tried in the UK will have preparded you for this delicacy.

We knew when we bought our caravan that it was an older model, so we travelled over equipped with lots of cleaning equipment ready to scrub it.
Imagine our delight when we arrived and found it had been incredibly well cared for. Yes it's old, but we only needed to spend one day cleaning it to make sure it was s**k and span from top to bottom.
And we found an unexpected bunk in the twin room, only suitable for a child, but it increases how many can comfotably stay without using the bed settee in the lounge ( that rooms a bit light- we're exploring options to take back with us in September) Also- the 2 twin beds push together to make a 2nd small double bed, which makes it better for 2 friends sharing.
here's some photos.

Now we have visited the caravan, and explored some of the local area we are completely enamoured.
One day we will be able to stay there for the full season, reading, writing, swimming, exploring...
Until then, grab a bargain break in the mythical Celtic Breton landscape for just £395 a week- peak season!
We still have space left for 2018 & 2019.
Here's photos of some the local beaches.

Cancelation policy: If a cancellation is made more than 12 weeks in advance of arrival date only a £50 booking fee will be retained, £325 will be refunded.

Cancellations made 8-12 weeks before your schedulded arrival date will result in me only being able to refund 50% of your booking, as I will be unlikely to be able to book anyone else.

Need to cancel less than 8 weeks before your planned arrival date? I'm afraid I won't be able to refund you.

However, I can change names on bookings at any time, so if you find someone else to go in your stead you will not face any extra costs from me, and they can refund you your booking fee.

Bringing your dog with you? I've just discovered that for just £25 a year (half that if you're over 60) we can cover our 2 nutters for public liability, and the Dogs Trust will home them if the worst should happen!
Have a look: https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/get-involved/membership/
Make sure you start organising the pet passport in plenty of time- the rabies jab must be given at least 21 day before departure!
Also- your dogs will need a special wormer a minimum of 24 hours, (better 48- 72) and a maximum of 120 hours before you leave France- this has to be given by a vet and signed on their passports.
There's a good English speaking vet near the campsite- very easy to find- directly opposite the Super U supermarket in Guidel. They are lovely there- didn't bat an eyelid when our two totally showed us up by pooing on their floor and yelling the place down (memories of the rabies jab loomed large I think!)

How to get there?
There's lots of options- you could fly from Exceter to Rennes with Flybe, then hire a car.
Catch the Eurostar, and drive from Calais, or the TGV now comes to Rennes.
Or, like we are you can catch a ferry, and start your holiday as soon as you get on board.
You can travel overnight from Plymouth to Roscoff, relaxing in your own cabin, and arrive fresh in Roscoff to drive less than 2 hours to Camping Quinquis
Or you could Catch the Portsmoth to Cherbourg- a much quicker crossing but a longer drive. There's 6 different ferry options on the Brittany Ferries site.
If you decided to cross by ferry let me know before you book and I can give you a code for for 10% off your crossing.
There's an excellent bus service from Lorient and Quimperle to Guidel, and a taxi company there (rare in france). You can hire a bike from the campsite, so it should be possible for none drivers, who are confident travelling on French public transport, or up for an adventure, to get there quite easly.

Want a chill out day? There's plenty to do on the site, so you don't need to go anywhere.

If you have never been to Brittany, you are in for such a treat.
Tiny villages, rolling miles of countryside, all seeped in Celtic legend.
Our caravan is located just a mile from the nearest pretty beach, with miles and miles of rolling sand and crystal clear water, perfect for kite surfing and surfing about 4 miles away.
There's supermarkets, and village markets nearby (you can find a market somewhere local every morning of the week!).
There's even a little zoo right next door! Your family can hire bikes from the campsite and disappear into the countryside, or down to the beach for the day .

Camping Quinquis is gorgeous, so well maintained, and we've got an amazing plot, tucked into a cool and shady corner (nothing worse thayn being slow cooked in a caravan at the height of summer). Yet it's close to all the amenities.
Here's a link to their website: http://www.campingquinquis.com/

We have a 2 bedroom caravan (sleeps up to 7) in Quinquis Campsite in Le Poldu, Clohars- Carnoet, Nr Lorient, in Coastal South Brittany. We offer lovely family holidays at an excellent price of just £375 in Peak Season.(1/7 -1/9) or £200 off peak (23/5 - 1/7 including Whitsun half term).
Before 23/5 the pools aren't open, but if you fancy a week then for a peaceful getaway you are welcome to hire it for £100 a week (14/4 - 23/5)
PLEASE NOTE: our caravan is an older model, hence the very cheap price we are asking which even includes your gas and electric. It is lovely and clean & equipped for our own use though.

Bedroom 1-one double bed, Bedroom 2 two single beds (which can be pushed together to make a double) and a fold down bunk, suitable for a child.
The Lounge- a double bed settee. The bed settee isn't great for a long term stay, but if you've got a snorer for a husband like me, a bath tub can become an appealing option, so it's there if you need it.
I provide duvet & pillows for all beds, including the one in the lounge.

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

There is Wifi available all over the site for an extra charge paid directly to the campsite.

You can hire bed linen or sa've money & bring your own.(We provide the pillows and duvets)

There is even a bread delivery service from the local Boulangerie to the reception at 9am every morning- just order in advance and get your delicious croissants, pain au chocolate and baguettes fresh everyday.

There's a bar and takeaway on site- I highly recomment their meals-Yummy!

There's a kids club, play ground, football pitch, table tennis table (There's bats and balls in the caravan).

Best of all there's 3 glorious swimming pools, with a whirlpool bath which I favour lounging in reading my book.

The site is less than a mile from the nearest beach, and there are several more within a 4 mile radius. Have a look at their website- www.campingquinquis.com
and my page- Greenrow's Gorgeous Getaways for loads of info on the site, the area and lots and lots of photos

Let me tell you all about Lifestyle Holidays and how you can book your dream exotic holiday.
We own a Gold membership, which means we can book your accommodation in any of the Dominican Republic or Mexican resorts for an excellent price. You just need to ask me to confirm availability of your preferred accommodation in your preffered location. You will pay me for your accommodation and I will send you an email confirming your booking.
You will choose and book your own flights, but transfers from the airport are included in the cost of your accommodation.
Once at the resort, you will pay for your all inclusive food and drink.
Personally I have only been to the Puerto Plata / Cofresi Beach resort, because I absolutely love it there, and go back whenever I can afford it.

sadly we have had to sell Laita 6. I cant find a way to delete this page!
