We have received the long awaited update from Royal Caribbean trestart to sailing.
While they are returning to Alaska this summer, they will not be offering the cruise tours as part of the sailing and adventure.
Because there are still so many unknowns, we are opting to cancel the cruise to reschedule when things are figured out. We know that when you spend this kind of money to go on an amazing trip such as this, you want to be able to do EVERYTHING that you want to do. That could be roam around freely in a port, fly to a glacier, or just not have to wear a mask at the pool on the ship or be required to be vaccinated. We understand and we want you to have the BEST experience possible without ever changing rules. We feel it would be a mistake to try to host a cruise of this magnitude mearly weeks after cruising has restarted and trying to comply with all the rules.
We will continue to put together groups trips, such as our Guns & Hoses Beach Bash - St. Pete Beach this August. We are also looking at countries we could do a destination vacation like we did in Costa Rica before, possibly an all inclusive. However, because of the huge surge in travel demand in the last few weeks, prices have shot through the roof and availability has become limited. We will diligently work on planning a great vacation get-a-way for 2022.
For those booked on the Alaska Cruise 2021, you're options will be as follows:
You can bank the money with us as a "Travel Savings Fund". This means we will hold on to what you have paid, stop any auto payments, and can apply it to any vacation that we have booked, or if you want to do a personal get-a-way, we can apply it to that (*please note this is most cases, but not all cases. We can evaluate your booking and let you know if you are eligible to do this).
Receive a refund. We can process your request for a refund. Some refunds will come from Guns and Hoses Travel Company and some will come from Royal Caribbean.
I know you may have some questions, and I will be reaching out to everyone booked via email as well this week so we can figure out what you would like to do.
For those that had a FCC applied to their booking, I am trying to find out from Royal Caribbean what the option is in that case.
I appreciate all of you as clients and friends and appreciate most of all your patience during this roller coaster of a ride for travel in the past year. We look forward to seeing you all soon at the Beach Bash and whatever fun adventures we come up with soon thereafter!
