Really fun & informative video of factory tour of Zip Dee near Chicago — it’s a half-hour segment but covers helpful manual awning setup tips, maintenance, history, and lots of snippets of American manufacturing. Highly recommend watching this video if you’re a fan of Airstream & Zip Dee. Interestingly, these awnings were an outgrowth of participation in the WBCCI club (watch the video.)

Some of the consistent things about our local unit over the past decade: (1) fun rallies & rally stickers, and (2) really dog-friendly folks. Interestingly, we have lots of medium-sized dogs in particular. Our own Letterkenny Puffer-Mutt (shown below) loves camping with all her doodle, retriever, lab & other canine friends in UWAC.

Is it the Fourth of July already? We are getting excited about our upcoming rally in Provo for the Freedom Festival on July 3 - 6, 2025 at Lakeside RV Campground. It will be a truly fun “don’t miss” event!!

Our rally hosts have been busy making plans for some really fun activities. We are going to start the rally with a meet and greet BBQ dinner. Friday morning we will begin our 4th of July celebration with a fantastic parade. That evening we’ll be going to the big Stadium of Fire celebration. Saturday we’ll go see the Hot Air Balloon Festival, followed by free time to see and do as many fun activities going on in town as possible. That evening we will be going to dinner at a local favorite Mexican restaurant in town. We have a few other fun things up our sleeve. Of course, we will finish our rally with Mary’s Famous Pancake Bar for breakfast on Sunday.

Pictures from Sun Outdoors Resort in nearby Granby, Colorado — site of the Region 11 rally being held next month from July 23-27, 2025. There are over 100 rigs attending and at last check space remains available for late registration if you want to join. Congratulations to Utah’s Wasatch Airstream Club on 10 wonderful years!! Today marks the start of our big UWAC 10 Year Anniversary rally celebration here in Torrey. Special thanks to all our founding and long-term members for getting this going & sustained! We look forward to many new adventures & lots more friends in the next 10 years.

Have you made plans to join us at an upcoming rally? We still have plenty of space available at our Lava Hot Springs “no host”rally from September 11-15, 2025 at Portneuf Bend Campground (4 nights.) Some reasons to register for this rally:

1. September weather — avg. daily high 75 F
2. Nice campground — rallied here in 2023
3. Short drive from SLC — roughly 150 miles
4. First-rate hot springs
5. Cool downtown area — bars & restaurants
6. Hike Idaho Centennial trail in town
7. Celebrate hike at Rooftop Bar — see photo
8. Visit nearby historic Chesterfield, ID
9. Catch some football games on TV at camp
10. Plenty of old fashioned Airstream camaraderie — it may be a “no host” event but there’s plenty of socializing and organizing informal activities!

We’re a week away from our next UWAC rally, our big 10th Anniversary Rally celebration in beautiful Torrey, Utah. Sites remain available at the campground as of today (see screenshot below), so it’s not too late for members to call the campground to book a site or online through the Thousand Lakes website. If you do decide to attend, please register for the rally also via the UWAC website after reserving your campsite.

We’re expecting 30+ attendees to help us celebrate this big milestone. The draft agenda is below — Friday’s dinner is coming from the original Bicknell location of Curry Pizza… previously featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Oh, the weather is warm (see below screenshot ) but the pool is open so don’t forget your swim trunks!
