Just a reminder to UWAC members, affiliates and friends in Airstream Club International — now is the time to get your camping season planned. UWAC has registrations open now for rallies being held each month this year from February through September (we’re still working on October & November events.) Please take a look at the registration page on our UWAC website and plan your participation this year — don’t wait too long as popular events will fill up fast. We look forward to seeing you!

Why join on our UWAC adventures? People, Places & Things (To Do)… they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Here’s a collection of photos from UWAC events dating back to our first rally in Torrey in 2016, with lots of fun stops ever since. Several UWAC rallies for 2025 are now open for registration, and more are on the way soon. Please see the UWAC website for details and registration links.

You might wonder why we piecemeal our individual event registrations… well, for a variety of reasons, sometimes the timing of host preparations, sometimes campgrounds with tight booking windows, sometimes the timing of special event ticket sales, or long lead-times for one-time events like a solar eclipse. In any event, members and affiliates always get emails announcing the registration for a new event, and our website is always kept current. We have events being planned every month this year from late February through November.

Zion Gateway Retreat rally and 2024 annual business meeting — video recap

Thank you to all the club members who attended the Zion Gateway Retreat and annual UWAC dinner & meeting in La Verkin — we’ve had 36 folks here at one point or another, and 30 in attendance at the annual business meeting last night. Our Region 11 President, John Holly, swore in our new officers with terms beginning in January. 2024 was a good year for the club with fun monthly events held from March through November, stable membership, solid finances, and a good bench of hosts, co-hosts, and club volunteers. We hope to see y’all at our 2025 events being planned(see the UWAC website for details.)

You also won’t want to miss the Region 11 rally in July 2025 in Granby, Colorado next to Rocky Mountain National Park — see link below in comments. Special thanks to John Holly for traveling here to join us — very much appreciated!

Zion Gateway Retreat — several early arrivals for our ZGR rally and annual dinner & business meeting this weekend. Pool is heated and the pickleball courts are empty… we have a good turnout and look forward to seeing many of you here soon at the Gateway Luxury RV Resort in La Verkin. We also look forward to seeing additional members at the annual dinner on Saturday night at The Stage Coach Grille here in town.

Tired of the cold weather already? Winter is coming and, if you’re like the rest of us, you’ll soon be itching to go somewhere warm. Well do we have a deal for you!

UWAC (John & Bonnie Ruskauff) is hosting a joint rally with the Las Vegas club at Lake Havasu, Arizona: “Bluegrass on the Beach”, February 28 to March 2, 2025. This will be a don’t miss event!

We are looking forward to seeing many of our UWAC friends in 2 weeks at our final event for this year, our Zion Gateway Retreat and annual dinner / business meeting. This will be yet another fun time, and the location in LaVerkin is at a lower elevation that is usually pleasant during shoulder season. We’ve planned a mix of activities and free time for sightseeing at Zion and points of interest. We are also honored to have in attendance our Region 11 President, John Holly.

If you have late interest in joining us, we’ve had a couple of cancellations and space remains available in our group block at Gateway Luxury RV Resort, and for the Nov. 2 dinner at The Stage Coach Grille (the business meeting will be kept short and sweet.) Please join us at one or both events — the more the merrier!!

FYI: UWAC regular club members have been invited by email to vote in our 2024 election of new officers/directors, and approval of proposed updates to the UWAC constitution. If for any reason you (regular members only) didn’t receive this invitation to vote, please let us know.

Election results will be announced at our UWAC 2024 Annual Meeting & Dinner in LaVerkin, Utah on 11/2/24. See the UWAC website for details if you are interested but have not already made plans to attend.

Special thanks to our members (Lorri & Roseanne) who volunteer each year, and congratulations to our own Woody (Jeff Harwig) and pup Lulu for winning in the dog contest!

Anyone recognize this place in eastern Wyoming? It’s pretty well known in Airstream Club circles, a popular Harvest Host stop along I-80 — Pine Bluffs Distilling, and our stop #1 for the UWAC mini-caravan to the 67th Airstream Club International Rally in Sedalia, MO. We will have additional overnight stops in WaKeeney, KS and Topeka, KS before arriving in Sedalia on Friday, 10/4. Look forward to hanging out with many of our club compadres there — it will be a great time!
