Tynemouth Priory and Castle grounds are opened! Located on a rocky headland, overlooking Tynemouth Pier. The moated castle-towers, gatehouse and keep are combined with the ruins of the Benedictine priory where early kings of Northumbria were buried.

Overlooking the North Sea and the River Tyne, Tynemouth Priory and Castle dominates the headland. 🏰 From its original beginnings as an Iron Age settlement, Tynemouth has a remarkable 2000 year history.

Being a Host on Airbnb was one of the best decision Ian Geddes and I have made. The only fun fact that isn't included in our highlight reel is the number of returning guest.....17! 17 families consider our home their home away from home. Now, that is super cool! Four years ago, the decision to convert Ian's parents' home into our 2nd home to share with others has inspired us to make every owned property income generating. Well, that is the ultimate goal moving into retirement within the next 5-7 years for me, yesterday for Ian Geddes but let's keep it real, none of this would be possible without Maureen Ellis. She does all the heavy lifting, her detail to excellence has earned us SUPER HOST status many times over. We miss Tynemouth, like most of us we miss traveling, we miss family and we just miss our freedom. Once we feel safe, the 2021 travel trend, explore nearby towns by car, and book an Airbnb.
