A lot of people ask me why I enjoy this. Why do all this work? "Isn't sanding just the worst?!" It's not. It may be my favorite part of the whole piece, taking off the rough, dirty, beat-up exterior and revealing what's underneath and then taking the scars and turning them into beautiful parts of the story. That's what I do. I don't refinish furniture. I rescue it.

Today I'm starting to work on the Pink Chair. I originally bought it at my favorite place to find pieces- A&R Used Furniture in the Old City. It has a lot of paint on it, and needs some solid TLC, but I can't wait to see it complete.

I found this sweet table at a local thrift store. I have been looking for this style for lawyer's office to sit between client chairs. It fit perfectly and we sat down and discussed refinishing it with a dark stain on the legs and a satin black top to match his desk. It is currently painted with textured rustoleum.

I recently (as in less than 30 days ago) bought a new house. My amazing sisters put up the wall shelves for me as my house warming present. Shockingly, I am going to sand the wood but then leave it natural. Yay wall shelves!!
