Wing on wing we are now heading to Hope Island. We just need to work out a preventer now!
🤔 that was one huge sea cucumber…
#sailingo2v Mackay Reef
Sudbury Cay, lemon sharks. & beautiful corals
Sudbury Sand Cay Great Barrier of reef, another little paradise. Cruising with Cpiercer.
Look at these cuties 💗 absolutely amazing
After Hinchinbrook we stopped at Goold to explore the island and did the walk to the creek, we then moved to Brook Island for a snorkel between tides. The fringing reef has well recovered! We heard the whales singing underwater the best we ever have which was pretty cool. After an attempt of motor sailing (not much wind), we are now currently at Dunk Island and just finished 2 walks 🙂
Bloody good for a Frenchie
Well the fridge and freezer are full… very greatfull, this is the biggest fish I ever caught on a trolling line…
Odevie is in Gloucester Island after Butterfly Bay (Hook Island)💗💗💗
#sailinglife
F&$ it! Let’s go to Gloucester.
We tried Odevie for the first time in strong winds, gusts up to 36kn and steady high 20’s. She did really well.
Language warning… Kaz’ first fish for the trip!
Time has come for a shakedown trip ⛵️on Odevie, overnight at Keswick 🐋. Many whales and yes in case of emergency you can use salami as bait!
Battery upgrade almost done 😅😅😅 - slow morning on Odevie but we are getting there! We have less than a month to be ready for our first big trip!
Loving Shaw island so much that I decided to get a Tattoo on my butt! Accidentally fell on the can in the dinghy… I know… it could have been worse… don’t care… Worth it!
Shaw Island is absolutely stunning... We stayed 3nights on the North West not too far from coral but could only catch sharks from the boat (lots of 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈 all released of course) as we were on a muddy bottom. Tony finally got to use our new deck wash to rinse the mud off the anchor chain, what a luxury, no more bucketS of water to carry around. 👣 We climbed the rocks on shore and were beautifully rewarded… what a view! We saw numerous turtles/fish and even a large shovel nose ray. We explored all the beaches around.
On another note our supply of food is alarmingly low now… We have lost our meat as it went off (while still in date) so we might have to finally eat our French Salsify… Ooh nooo… We need to catch some fish… Thanks to Lynne & Brad we still have a pumpkin! And finally the last photo is our last roll and a bit of toilet paper… let’s be creative…
Box Jellyfish Chironex Fleckeri Mackay
We saw this jellyfish yesterday at Mackay Marina… Pretty but deadly ☠️☠️☠️
‘Spirit’ is here! She is very stable & is the perfect size for our boat.
Life is changing on Odevie! ⚠️Warning nipple scene
Oh yes she is!
We did it! Thanks to all who’ve helped us get this far (you know who you are). She is a little hottie ✨
Christmas came early this year!
Top coat on the coachroof / deck very soon 🤞 everything is ready. May the weather play ball
