This Black History Month, we celebrate the rich heritage, culture, and contributions of the Black community in Harford County + beyond. From historic landmarks and inspiring stories to thriving Black-owned businesses that make our community shine, there’s so much to honor and explore.

has a permanent, interactive exhibit that tells the story of the Underground Railroad across Harford and Cecil Counties. The storytelling focuses, in part, on the use of waterways to aid escaping slaves. Visit the permanent exhibit for yourself to learn more about Harford’s history this month ⛵️
