Although this is a throwback to spring, Walter's tour guide training is progressing really well. In fact, he's such a keen student that he's even taking summer courses!😂😉 So, fingers crossed🤞that he'll eventually graduate and join us on our Edinburgh walking tours! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙🦮

We are so delighted to learn that St. Margaret's Cave in Dunfermline will be open throughout this summer!

Our own St. Sawyer had the opportunity to visit it last September, a little over a month before he was called to conduct tours on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

Of course he didn't actually go into the cave itself, but he happily explored the surrounding areas, while we took turns to make our own wee pilgrimages to this incredible site.

This week our virtual travels around Scotland continue with one of our wee Walter's training sessions provided for him last year by our Angel-Sawyer- join us as we visit Paisley Abbey!

Walter certainly had a fabulous mentor in Sawyer, as together they visited castles, palaces, and many other incredible places around Scotland. We just wanted to let everyone know that our wee Arthur is doing great! He has recovered from his surgery fabulously and he is back to being a busy puppy, playing with his big brother Walter, and keeping us on our toes as he tries to eat everything in sight!😂🤦🏼‍♂️

He is out of the woods in terms of the surgery, but the world at large still has to wait a bit longer as we await for his vaccinations to be fully effective. However, soon he will begin to explore Scotland with his brother.

We again want to thank you all for your continued support, well wishes, prayers, healing thoughts and good vibes, that all helped Arthur heal...and us too!

However, most of all, we want to thank the incredible team at Heritage Vets! We don't even have the words to describe our eternal gratitude that we have for them because they saved our baby!!

Thank you to the two best, kindest, and most caring vets - Becky and Sara, the nursing staff, and the friendliest office staff - Millie and Katy. You guys are amazing, and we cannot recommend your practice enough! So, if anyone around the greater Edinburgh area owns a pet - check out Heritage Vets in Dalkeith.

Arthur is feeling good today, 72 hours after his surgery for intussusception. He was clearly enjoying the Scottish sunshine during a wee break in the back garden.

Some of his pre-surgery s***k and feistiness is also coming back!😂 So, we remain very optimistic about his recovery. Thank you again for all your support! We hope that you are all enjoying sunshine somewhere around the world on this beautiful Sunday.

Our wee Arthur is home! He is recovering 'comfortably'?! Despite the fact that he has a crate with a comfy bed, a playpen with another comfy bed, and a few memory foam dog beds to choose from...this little nutter has wedged himself in a wee corner in the living room lying on a cold hardwood floor.🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ To each his own I guess.

In any case, he had his vet check earlier today and everything is still going great. We are trying to get his stool to harden, so that his intestinal system can get a wee break from all the diarrhea... sorry, I know...TMI!

We are so grateful for all the love, well wishes and prayers he has received. They have helped heal him thus far for sure. They have also helped heal us, because going through situations like this are not easy, but support from all of you provides us with strength and hope too! So, thank you!

We will update his recovery again tomorrow!

Thank you so much for all of your well wishes, positive vibes, healing thoughts and prayers! Please, keep them coming, because they are working! I have successfully made it through the first 24 hours past my emergency surgery for Intussusception.

If everything continues to go well, I might even be able to go home tonight. However, I have to take it really easy and be careful over the next week because I keep hearing people say that I am not out of the 'woods'... whatever that means, because I am just a puppy and I have never even been to the 'woods'!

I will also continue to have checks with my vets, which I don't mind, because they are all so wonderful!

But, I will continue to fight and get better and I know that then I will be running around Scotland with my big brother Walter before you know it!

Thank you again for all of your kindness and love! It means the world to me and my whole family!

Please send your prayers and all the good energy that you can muster to our wee-Arthur! He started having diarrhea yesterday and it gradually got worse. We rushed him to the vet, where he was put on IV and then through a battery of tests.

They found a blockage in his small intestine, and he ended up having surgery earlier today. The surgery went well, and he is recovering, but he is not completely out of the woods yet.

Arthur was diagnosed with an intussusception, condition that can sometimes occur in large breed dogs, and the cause is often unknown. Essentially, his small intestine had folded and turned on itself. Which actually had caused some of the tissue to die. The surgeon successfully removed all the dead tissue, and like I said, our wee baby is out of the surgery, but he will remain under constant monitoring at veterinary hospital in case of any possible post-surgery complications.

The next 24 hours are crucial, and even then, it will be important for his recovery to go well for the following days. But, our vets are Incredible and he is receiving great care, so we are hopeful that he will pull through, heal and recover soon and return to the active and happy puppy that he is. Hopefully, this whole episode will be a thing of the past and that he will go on to live a happy, healthy and long life.

Thank you for all the positivity that you can share, and please love your puppies and dogs. If you've been following us for awhile, you'll understand how this has been a very difficult past couple of days for us, but we have hope and faith.

It is hard to believe that this past weekend was already our Wee-Walter's second Medieval Fayre at Traquair House! 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Last year he visited as a wee pup, but he was well trained by our beloved late Angel-Sawyer 🦮🪽🌈, and he thoroughly enjoyed all the festivities!

🌌✨ May the 4th be with You! ✨🌌

Today, we're celebrating Star Wars Day with the most adorable force in the galaxy - our Golden Retriever, Walter!

First up, Walter in his Jedi best, radiates the wisdom and kindness of a true Jedi Master. Cloaked in robes, he's ready to defend the galaxy (or at least the back garden) from the dark side, proving that even the fluffiest among us can embody the spirit of a Jedi.

Next, you'll see we have Darth Walter, ready to rule the living room with an iron paw and a bark that's as commanding as any Sith Lord's command. His costume is complete with a black cape that definitely makes him the center of attention.
