It all started with three friends, two turntables, one mic and a house party. That was 20 years ago and though we have all grown, some things never change. Simón Melchor and Robert Houston started out throwing house parties so they could share their love of hip hop with their friends. Those house parties soon grew to over 400 kids much to the chagrin of their parents. This would not be easy to fin
d in the conservative climate of Colorado Springs. Through sheer persistence the duo secured a venue and built a scene from the ground up, providing a positive outlet for up and coming Break Dancers, Graffiti Artists, Dj's and Emcees. After recording several albums together and garnering national attention their paths eventually diverged. Robert "Black Pegasus" Houston continued to pursue a career in entertainment as an artist and owner of BKG Ent. Simón went on to run a construction company. Their friendship always remained and nearly 15 years after their last business endeavor the two reunited to form FunWorkz Worldwide.
