Just a reminder to those that are flying:
Beginning May 7, 2025, every air traveler 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID compliant Driver’s License or Identification card, or another TSA-acceptable form of identification, for domestic air travel and to enter certain federal facilities. See the star in upper right-hand corner, you need that.

We recently cruised on the Carnival Celebration, one of the biggest ships in the Carnival fleet. We stayed again in a Havana cabin. The Havana area has a private pool and bar just for passengers staying in those cabins. They offer a quieter area with limited people while getting to meet and know your Havana neighbors.

This large ship has a great layout making it easy to get around and not feel quite as big as it is.

We loved the Havana area and would definitely stay in in one of those cabins again.

I just finished the training courses for Virgin Cruise Lines. They differ from other cruise lines in many ways. There are no buffets, but specialty restaurants are included in the cost. All non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price as well as tips. An alcoholic drink tab can be bought in advance, giving you an extra $50 in credit if you purchase a $300 tab.

They also are very environmentally conscious, implementing measures to reduce climate impact, increase energy efficiency, and reduce waste on all their ships.

We just returned from a trip to Punta Cana in
the Dominican Republic. We stayed at the Bahia Principe Grand Aquamarine. It was our first vacation at an all-inclusive. As it was off-season, the resort was not very crowded. We spent lots of time in the pools, at the ocean and enjoying the many activities the resort had to offer. We ate in the specialty restaurants as well as the buffet that offered a large variety of food.

We will definitely book an all-inclusive again.

I will be touring Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas next Sunday, October 13th in Portland, Maine. I am able to book three cruises giving on-board credit anywhere from $25 to $600 depending on the length of the cruise and type of cabin booked.
