InJoy Travel News - The ruling is in! The REAL ID drivers license requirement for travel will take effect on May 15, 2025. If using a drivers license for DOMESTIC TRAVEL, you must have this new ID and it can NOT be used for International Travel, ONLY DOMESTIC. It will NOT replace a passport to travel internationally. Go early and upate your drivers license so you are not waiting in long lines. YOUR VALID PASSPORT CAN ALSO BE USED FOR DOMESTIC TRAVEL so if you don't have the REAL ID, DON'T PANIC!

The TSA announced a final rule for REAL ID enforcement, which begins on May 7, 2025, requiring REAL ID-compliant licenses or IDs for official purposes like boarding commercial aircraft.
