In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row.

John McCrea, the poet who wrote In Flander's Fields, was one of countless Canadians who gave their life serving their country in The Great War. Prospect Cemetery in Toronto is the largest World War I interment site in Canada. Join Toronto Cemetery Tours as we explore key battles in the war that changed the world and meet some people who fought and died in the name of Canada.

A portion of any tips given will be donated to War Amps Canada and The Royal Canadian Legion.

This event is not pet-friendly. Please leave your non-service animals at home for this one.

Another weekend of tours is over and can I just say how magical and humbling it is to spend this time with you all. Thank you for walking with me, for learning with me, and for laughing each and every time I said "dirty, poopy water."

Hey folks, we're trying something new this year at Toronto Cemetery Tours. Your comments and feedback have been heard! Based on your suggestions, we've created a registration list for the tour this October. This is to limit the group size so everyone can hear and we all have a good day. The tour is still FREE.

Please, if you don't intend to attend, don't register for the event! This takes a spot away from someone who wants to go and plans to show up!

Check out the event listing for all the details or use the link to register!

Saturday is shaping up to be a gorgeous day. Let's hope luck stays on our side for the tour and it's warm and sunny.

Below is a map of the meeting location, marked with a big red X. If you're in the vicinity of the Mount Pleasant Road gates or the cemetery office (375 Mount Pleasant Road), you will see the group.

If you're entering the cemetery from the Yonge side, follow the yellow star road or the white circle road to get to the meeting spot. There is some parking at the funeral center as well as bike racks and washroom facilities at the office.

The tour starts at 1pm but you are welcome to arrive early and partake of the refreshments provided by Mount Pleasant Group.

Remember - we are NOT meeting at the Yonge Street Gates as in previous years. We are meeting on the EAST SIDE of the cemetery.
