It's taken me awhile to be able to do this, but I wanted to say a few things about Angel Evans, my partner in The Weathered Shutter. For those of you who are still following this page and are not aware, she passed away in February due to glioblastoma. Since I posted about her GoFundMe page, I have known I needed to follow up, but since she was so much younger than me I had to wait awhile to be able to do this. In addition to our partnership in TWS, we worked together at two different places for our "day jobs". I'm old enough to be her mother and on occasion we fought like sisters sometimes do, but she was a good and loyal friend. I am careful to include "loyal" because that is what she told me she would always be. We were both do it yourselfers and crafters and we used to talk about our projects on our breaks at work. One day we were on our lunch break and I said something about wanting to do craft shows, but I didn't know how to get into it and I didn't know if I could come up with enough things to fill a booth. She said that she'd always wanted to do it as well and maybe we should do it together. I agreed that would be cool and went back to reading the paper. She left the room, came back ten minutes later and told me she'd booked us at a church craft sale a week from Saturday. That was just the way it went...I'd mention some vague thing and she'd run with it. I've included some pictures I had of her work. Her favorite thing was string art, but she did all kinds of things. She was a person who was good at EVERYTHING except...and these are her words....losing weight and keeping a clean house. She was a good cook, had a green thumb and a mind that could figure anything out. I will miss her. We did a lot of events at a lot of different places, but I'd like to mention three that got us going and they were all managed by awesome people...Old 54, Reitz and Rust, and especially Keriel Dairy Farm. Thanks for everything.
One more thing...I am moving to Ohio and I think I might have a booth or do some events there. I am NOT good at everything, she's the one who made this page and I don't know if I can take it down and redo it. I will try to add Ohio or something to it. Thank you all for your your support through the years.
