We went rafting on the Tidal Bore! We arrived when the tide was low. We were sitting on a dock that was not floating. You will see in the pictures how the water was gone!

At the end of the trip the dock was totally extended and floating because we were at high tide! The water was all the way up to where I was sitting on the dock! Sorry no pics.. it started raining and Jim could not take pics!

We could hear and see the tidal bore come in. It looked like whitecaps and sounded like crashing waves! The tidal bore or waves can be as much as 13 feet high but today we experienced 9 feet high. We were in a Zodiac boat.

We saw several bald eagles!

Canada Trip 2024

What an interesting day! We spent the day at Hopewell Provincial Park in New Brunswick. We visited the ocean monuments called Hopewell Rocks.

We went at 9:00am which was low tide. We walked on the ocean floor amongst the monuments, rock formations and mud! Yes, our ankles/feet and toes were covered in mud!

At 3:35pm we went back to the same location but in a kayak. It was high tide and it came in at 43 ft. deep. It was a totally different perspective from this morning.

Saint Martins is unique because it has the greatest tide change in the world. It is not uncommon for it to have a tide change of 28feet.

You will see our pictures of low tide where we could walk on the ocean floor and at high tide!

The pictures are just 12 hours apart at the tide change!

We stayed two days in Saint Martins, New Brunswick, Canada. Beautiful! This area cooks up fresh seafood on demand!

We stopped at Gettysburg. We loved seeing all the memorials for those who fought in the civil war. We found the Indiana and Florida memorials.

Gettysburg is a borough and town in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It’s known for Gettysburg National Battlefield, site of a turning point in the Civil War, now part of Gettysburg National Military Park. The park also includes the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center, displaying Civil War artifacts, and Gettysburg National Cemetery, where a memorial marks the site of Abraham Lincoln’s 1863 Gettysburg Address.

Italy and Switzerland Vacation!!! Here we come!

As you know, last year we were scheduled to go but I had cancer and was in treatment! We both lost money because we had to cancel the trip! We urged our friends to go without us! However, my good lifetime friend that I love dearly said… NO! We are not going! We will go next year and YOU will be going with us!

I am so blessed to have great friends. I am so thankful that I get to go! Thank you God!

I am so thankful that I am 100%. My friends at school told me I am more than 100%. Ha Ha!

I am so thankful to the great physician, my doctors on earth and the huge support system I had the past year! I love you all! I can’t tell you how thankful I am to be here today ready for this trip!

Long Weekend Excursion to the Keys with Friends!

We had a wonderful time! We camped at Sunshine Campground! Our wonderful friends were so gracious and we ate like royality! We traveled every day to sightsee and relaxed at night.

We loved getting to know our friends on a more personal level! Before going we knew they were wonderful people. After our trip, we know they will be lifetime friends we will cherish!

We visited Key West one day. We climbed the lighthouse, visited the Hemingway House and the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum!

We visited Theater of the Seas. We liked it better than Sea World! We loved it!

We fed the tarpon at Robbie’s!

We missed church but watched our church on line.

We can’t wait until the next excursion!
