✏This is one of the tourist spots in South Cotabato and was introduced by Mariano Family in public last May 27, 2017, the first ever sunflower farm in the whole SOCSKSARGEN. Everywhere you look, you will be surrounded by many sunshine-yellow blooms flowers, facing toward the sun already setting in the horizon. Since its opening, hundreds of people have been visiting the agritourism park to take pictures of the beautifully lined up rows of Sunflowers that are cultured and propagated using imported sunflower seeds from Japan. You can also use their sunhat for free.
✏There is also small store outside that sells products from around the area such as local fruits and flowers, playing area for kids, classic restaurant ,and open parking is also available. Experience also their Bird Feeding (Entrance fee: Php:50) where people could in and have photos taken with the colorful birds (Arantinga Solstitialis). They birds are quite tame and they seem to enjoy standing on visitors' heads or shoulders.

📍WAT ARUN - The Temple of Dawn

✏The Wat Arun or the Temple of Dawn, is named after Aruna, the Indian God of Dawn. This Wat is an architectural representation of Mount Meru, the center of the world in Buddhist cosmology. In the mythology of Tibetan Buddhism, Mount Meru is a place that simultaneously represents the center of the universe and the single-pointedness of mind sought by adepts.
✏This temple is soaring over 80-meter-high spire decorated with tiny pieces of colored glass and Chinese porcelain built in Khmer architectural style. A steep stairway on the side of the prang leads up to a terrace. You can climb the stairway giving a nice view of the river and surrounding area.
👗Outfit: Make sure you dress appropriately, or rent sarongs at the entrance.
👌Tips: The public service boat functions during the day time. It is recommended to take the boats with orange flag, they pass at a frequency of about 15 minutes and cost 15 baht (regardless of the distance). There are also bigger and less crowded boats with a blue flag for 40 baht.
How to go: 🤔
1. Take a boat across Chao Pharaya from Grand Palace and Wat Pho
Wat Arun is located on the opposite side of Wat Pho, so taking a boat ride across Chao Pharaya river is the easiest and cheapest way to get to this temple. If you have already ventured to Grand Palace and Wat Pho before, it’s a short walk to Chao Phraya River. From here, there are many ferries to take you across the river to Wat Arun for about 3 baht.
2. Arrive at BTS Saphan Taskin from other places. First, you can take the nearest BTS station to Saphan Taksin (marked as S6). It’s worth bearing in mind to transfer at Siam station if you are on a different route. Saphan Taksin is well connected to the Chao Phraya Express Boat at Sathorn Pier, where you can easily find a boat to take you to No.8 Tha Tien pier (the same stop for visiting Wat Pho) within about 30 mins, depending on how many people are embarking and debarking at each pier. After getting off the boat, hop on a ferry that takes you to the opposite side of the river for 3 baht and finally, Wat Arun is in front of your eyes.

✏Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Ratchaworamahawihan, more commonly referred to as Wat Pho, is one of the six temples in Thailand that are of the highest grade of first class Royal temples. The Wat Pho is the oldest and largest temple complex in Bangkok, it houses more than 1,000 Buddha images.
✏The temple is famous for its enormous gold plated Reclining Buddha image that is 15 meters tall and 46 meters long, the feet are 5 meters long and decorated in laksana (Buddhist Sanskrit symbols & characters) of the Buddha. The Reclining Buddha shows the passing of the Buddha into final Nirvana after death.
🤔How to go:
The Wat Pho is located in the old Rattanakosin area on the East bank of the Chao Phraya river adjoining the Grand Palace on Thanon Chetuphon.
You can get there by metered taxi or by Chao Phraya express river boat. It is a very short walk from Tha Tien Pier.

It is located inside the Rizal park by the side of the open air auditorium. It is built to promote friendship and tolerance between Japan & the Philippines. Inside can be found a lagoon & a bridge. It's nice to take a pleasant walk around the garden. Plenty of couples frequented the place for dating. This park has the Japanese touch like the bridge and the pavilion but not well maintained. There was a wagon wheel bench that was lovely but the landscaping was poor and not diverse. A proper makeover is needed and requires much love and attention to make it better.

Get down at the corner of Fifth Avenue and McKinley Road and look for jeepneys bound for FTI Gate 3. This will pass by McKinley Hill.

🚩From Pasong Tamo/Magallanes MRT Station:
Option 1: Go to the San Lorenzo Place Showroom at the corner of Pasong Tamo and EDSA. Look for the bus/FX terminal which are bound for McKinley Hill.
Option 2: There are also jeepneys passing along Pasong Tamo/Mantrade/WalterMart (along Pasay Road) that are bound for FTI. Ride the one that goes to Gate 3. From Gate 3 or end of Pasong Tamo Extension, there are jeepneys bound for Guadalupe, passing by McKinley Hill.
🚩From Guadalupe-EDSA Station:
There are jeepneys in Gaudalupe that are bound for AFP Housing and Fort Bonifacio. You can ride either of the two, both of those routes pass by McKinley Hill. Ask the driver to be dropped at McKinley Hill or One World Plaza.
🚩If you are in the Taguig or Paranaque area, ride a jeepney going to Nichols in Taguig, ask to be dropped off the Gate 3 - where the jeepney terminal to The Fort is located. From Gate 3 , there are jeepneys bound for Guadalupe, passing by McKinley Hill.
🚩For private vehicles: McKinley Hill is just along Lawton Road that connects South Super Highway (via FTI/Nichols/Villamor Airbase exit) and Bonifacio Global City. It is also accessible through C5 via the McKinley Hills gate past the exit of Market Market/The Fort in the southbound lane. The area can also be accessed through EDSA northbound using either a) Kalayaan Avenue b) McKinley Road going to Forbes by the Ayala corner or c) C5 flyover coming from Buendia. It is advisable to just approach via Lawton Road since this road is not too traffic heavy yet compare to C5.

📍WHITE WATER TUBING ECO PARK
🏷New La Union, Maitum, Sarangani Province
✏Witness the beauty of nature and experience exciting the river tubing! For just Php 150, you would be provided with a life vest and helmet plus river guide and also the ultimate gear for the ride: the interior of big tires or simply, the TUBE. You will have to undergo some briefing before heading to the starting point. The guide will instruct and show how to ride properly in the rubber tire with tube. After that, before the river rafting will start the river guide will ask you to lie down on the tube. Guides were assigned to each of us to help you navigate through the waters and help you if there are instances that you fall in the water. Boulders and the extreme rush of the waters kept the adventure very exciting! Its strong current will not only sway you through the rapids but will smack you down if you can’t keep your balance.
🙏Note: If your life ring or ‘’salbabida will be turned upside down, let go one of your hands from handle, to enable the river guide to save you easily
💰Cost: The total cost of the adventure excluding the travel en route to Maitum is Php160.00 (Php150.00 for the adventure and Php10.00 for the environmental fee)
🤔How to get there:
• Ride a van at Ablog terminal Gensan or Bus at Bulaong terminal Gensan bound to Maitum ( Fare 130 to 150 pesos) and tell the driver or conductor to drop you in brgy Pangi ‘’kanto’’ going to river tubing.
• Then ride a tricycle (fare 50 pesos minimum of 4 pax) going to NLU WHITE WATER TUBING ECO PARK
