Carole Feuerman: “All my experiences with ECC have been positive and good for me and for my career, especially the solo exhibition that I had in 2017 in Giardini Marineressa. I am interested in all future solo shows with ECC, as my past three shows have been very successful for me.”

🏆 Award ceremony 58th Venice Biennale 🏆

May you live in interesting times - if you take a look at the award-winning works of this year's Biennale, the motto of the 58th Biennale makes perfect sense. Times are indeed exciting, restless, and despite emerging dystopian thought patterns, full of creativity. This year's award-winning artworks are a clear expression of it. Learn more about it in our article "Award ceremony 58th Venice Biennale: Three-dimensional art in the age of unrest".

The European association Sculpture-Network visits the workshop of sculptor Olarte in Logroño

The European association, based in Munich, was invited by SCULTO, the sculpture fair for which it is an international speaker.

Some thirty members of the European Sculpture-Network Association, which includes more than 1,000 sculptors, gallery owners, collectors and museum directors from all over Europe, visited La Rioja this weekend at the invitation of SCULTO, the national contemporary sculpture fair, as part of the various cultural trips it organises throughout the year, and which on this occasion had as its objective a visit to the workshop in Logroño by the Riojan sculptor Olarte.

The invitation was extended through the Valencian sculptor Beatriz Carbonell Ferrer, a member of the association and coordinator of the same in the Northern Zone of Spain, and one of the organizers of SCULTO together with the gallery owner Enrique Martínez Glera from La Rioja and the journalist Josémaría Esteban Ibáñez from Navarra.

The Sculpture Network has shown a special interest in visiting Logroño to support all the activities that SCULTO carries out, both during the Fair that will be held in the Plaza de Abastos of the Riojan capital and those that are part of SCULTOeduca and SCULTOsigue.

The visit to Logroño and the workshop of the sculptor Olarte were completed with a visit to the Würth Museum La Rioja, which has just inaugurated the exhibition entitled "The Call of the Forest. Forest fascination." The tour was completed with a visit to several wineries of the DOCaRIOJA and ended with a dinner in the Tondeluna Restaurant of the chef Francis Paniego, with two Michelin stars in his restaurant Echaurren and a star in the restaurant of the Marqués de Riscal Winery.

The cultural journey through the North of Spain took them to Bilbao, where they visited the Guggeheim Museum, and to Santander to visit the recently inaugurated Botín Centre, which hosts various exhibitions such as the one entitled "Joan Miró: Sculptures 1928-1982".
