Peter Jones travel adventures started on a day trip to Boulogne long before the high speed Eurostar train had ever been imagined. While attending university in England he landed a job as a tour manager for an educational travel company. Peter spent two seasons leading American students throughout Europe—showing them new places, introducing them to new people and and sharing his love for travel tha

t he had discovered just a few years earlier. After graduating from university and working for an educational travel company in the US for a few years, Peter and some friends became determined to establish the premier educational travel company in the industry. In 1978, they founded ACIS, with the belief that travel changes lives. Peter built ACIS around a deep belief and understanding thatquality matters—from itinerary development to hotels to perhaps most importantly, the people hired to guide teachers and students throughout the journey. ACIS has since become the leading educational travel organization in its field. With his new venture, Pietro Place, Peter's goal is to share with you some of his observations on travel and offers some recommendations and advice for travelers about to embark on their journey.
