“Mindfulness teaches you the skill of paying attention to the present by noticing when your mind wanders off. Come back to your breath. It’s a place where we can rest and settle our minds.” 🍃

How do you manage stress?

Thailand was the first country I decided to travel solo. I fantasized being a backpacker in an unfamiliar place, meet cultural and global diversities while having fun. I was undeniably scared at first but I was determined to do what I can still do while being young. I have met new people, became friends with them, stayed in a hostel with them, watched them have new boyfriends lol, and stayed all night in the streets with them. It was fun! 🤩

Who wouldn’t be enchanted by Thailand’s beauty? Its majestic beaches and very “instagramable” temples, which we’re not exempted to respect, are just few of the countless reasons. It remains as one of the most vibrant places I’ve ever been. It was hailed as the “land of smiles” and I was not disappointed. Perhaps many would agree about this especially on how they give and begetting respect that’s why they’re basically happy. Easy golden rule.

Destination: Bangkok

You’ll probably start and end in Bangkok if you’re coming from other country. Being the capital of Thailand, expect crowd of tourists almost everywhere (but that doesn’t make it less beautiful).

Tips! ✨

1. Buy a 4G sim card via Klook and you can collect it in their booth at the airport. It’s just less than $5 then and it comes with free calls and data. You may also opt for pocket wifi.

2. I suggest you hit the money exchange at the airport, they give good rates compared to the streets in Bangkok as per my experience. In Thailand’s main cities, like Bangkok, you won’t have a problem finding ATMs and most businesses will accept credit cards. However, if you’re planning to go shopping at the local markets, you’ll need cash to pay for your purchases. 💵

3. Book your hostel near Khao San Road where almost every tourist spots are accessible and if you want to party all night.

4. I booked Chao Phraya Tourist Boat - River Pass (photo included) that’s good for one day touring around the Chao Phraya River where many of Bangkok’s landmarks are including China Town, Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and Wat Pho (the temple of the Reclining Golden Buddha). It’s a Hop On Hop Off tourist boat and they’re available at any pier and online.

5. Always wear appropriate clothes when entering temples. Kabalo namo sa steppings! 😉

6. Street foods are almost everywhere! Fill those tummies!

7. For solo travelers, dare to book in hostels with dormitory rooms. You can meet new people as adventurous as you. Be kind. Approach and be approachable.

September 2018
Thailand - Sri Lanka - UAE

So ani ang stepping..

Sri Lankan Airlines ko wang and dili sad direct flight so niagi mi’g Sri Lanka. Ang nakawerla kay 10hrs ang layover. Sooooooo, nagresearch ko and...

how are you to find out is have a dangerousity combineded 😂

Sri Lankan Airlines is not a bad choice mga wangsh. Winner ilang foods esp kung game mo’g spicy. Kung gikan mo sa Ph, daghan pa sguro’g better choices nga makasave sad mo. Sa Skyscanner ra jud ko palaban.

Arrival - Negombo Airport
22:15

“Good evening. Umm, where can I get a Transit Visa?”

“Where are you from?”

The Netherlands, char, way forever.

“The Philippines.”

“Take visa on arrival and pay over the counter.”

“No sir, I will just stay for less than 12 hours. I just don’t want to spend the night here in the airport and I have a hostel booking with me (ayaw kalimot magbook mga bayut).”

“Okay, fill up this form and go to an officer.”

Owki kaayoh! Hahahaha!

Hahahaha! So diri na magsugod ang tips!

Tip 1. Pakambyo dayon sa airport. $$ Para sa ako, kadjot lang man ko,

Pamahaw - USD 3;
Bayad sa hostel - USD 6; ug
Emergency money - USD 5 ra payts na. Pero in Sri Lankan Rupees guys ha.

Tip 2. Wala ka’y sim card, unsaon nimo?

Connect wifi sa airport, contact your hostel ahead. Book an Uber, yes naa sila’y Uber, verify the location with Google maps.

Dili dayon musunod anang mag-offer ug car lift. Bisan aha gyud! 😂 Mahaaaal ra kaayo.

Hostel to airport Uber, sa hostel naka maki-wifi. Okie? Okie.

Tip 3. Labi na kung nag-inusara ka unya babae ka, act and be smart. Dili magpahalata nga wala kaayo ka’y nabal-an, kay wala man jud, wala ta satong lugar. Kung istoryahon ka, tubag with confidence and in a kind way. On our way to the hostel, ginachika sad nako ang driver. Na-amaze sya kay isuga gud daw nako. Bisaya gud! Haha! Tunga to sa gabii, nakashorts ko, dili kaayo hitsuraan, pero nakalahutay man. Haha! Bitaw uy, buotan sila basta buotan sad ta sa ila. Ipafeel sa ila nga friends mo. “My frrrrriend!” Anaon.

Sun Rise Hostel
Lewis Place, Negombo

HAHAHA.

Attached herewith are the evidences. Hahaha

Laag mo sa Sri Lanka mga wang! Dagha’g pwede adtuan didto. Search lang sa Google asa ninyo bet! Dali ra kaayo ang steppings.

Unta naa mo’y nalearn ug unta nag-enjoy mooooo! ♥️

Dili ta maglangas. Pundo sa ta’g balay ha aron di ta matakdan ug makatakod, simbako uroy.
