"When I became a mom, I felt a real responsibility to go up to pregnant women and say you’re going to be OK."

Haha so funny! This little girl is going to be very loved!

A must watch- so beautiful!

It's the day of her water birth, and her husband is being nothing but selfless as she nears delivery. The beautiful images captured by the cameras only illustrate a fraction of the intense moments shared on this day.

Who knew??

Who knew??

Ok, I am having an "Ah-ha" moment...

Am I the only one who didn't know that baby onesies have envelope shoulders so that that they can be rolled down in case of a "blowout"?

Now if only I had known this an hour ago...next time!

Did you know?!

I miss that village of mothers that I've never had. The one we traded for homes that, despite being a stone's throw, feel miles apart from each other....

Beautiful:)

Oh my gosh, so much love!! Look at these beautiful proud daddies. I've wanted to be a surrogate so badly in the past. Damn my high blood pressure :(

Also.... In response to comments like "what are the dads are doing with their shirts off?"... this is skin to skin aka "kangaroo care." Babies are born with immature nervous systems and being skin to skin helps them to regulate their heart rate, breathing, and temperature better. It also increases bonding along with many MANY other benefits. I absolutely LOVE it when daddies hold their babies skin to skin!

Congrats to this beautiful family!

"Words can not tell you how wonderful it was to witness this amazing moment in time. But I am VERY hopeful that these images can make you feel the deep LOVE and admiration that everyone felt for this surrogate mom and the baby's new parents. These Daddies will most certainly be two amazing parents.

I look at these pictures and I immediately tear up.

The top picture is one of my favourites because everyone is included.
Surrogate mom and her husband, the new parents and their baby boy Milo, and two wonderful and amazing midwives.

Great job to everyone!!!"

Being a mama is beautiful, wonderful, and fulfilling. But sometimes it is lonely too...

“When I say painless, please understand, I don’t mean you will not feel anything. What you will feel is a lot of pressure; you will feel the might of creation move through you. Pain, however, is associated with something gone wrong. Childbirth is a lot of hard work, and the sensations that accompany it are very strong, but there is nothing wrong with labor.” - Giuditta Tornetta

Most of this information has been made common knowledge, but it still good to remind ourselves that there is a time and place for pregnancy and birth interventions but we should be weary of the times the interventions could do more harm than good.

This mama was between 9-10 cm while this photo was taken of her. Now, not all of us experience birthing the same way...but at some point in birth, we can soak up the oxytocin and feel so joyful to be birthing our baby.
