Just read the 4 ski resorts in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon have the highest snow fall totals (261"-305") of all North America to date this season.

Driving back on 215E a few hours ago and looked like some heavy clouds over Big Cottonwood Canyon but I don't think today was the day for snow.

Surprisingly, we had a tiny amount of flurries at the Spruce Moose this morning but that's about it. Temps are holding steady COLD and they're calling for snow on Wed right in time for Thanksgiving.

This is a nice hike up Bells Canyon with some beatiful waterfalls at the top. It's only a short drive (less than 10 minutes) from the Spruce Moose.

With all this heat we sure are looking forward to seeing snow on these mountains soon! We knew it would be a little cooler at higher altitudes so Karolina and I decided to take a hike today up to Cecret Lake through Alta.

Alta Ski Resort is only 13 miles from Spruce Moose Mountain Retreat.
