We’re off to a great start!!! Gorgeous water, lots of fun, lots of laughter, and good times with good friends!!! Did I mention the water?? Geez, amazing!!!!🤩

It’s going to be a great week!!!!😎 All the boys are diving this week, while us ladies plan to soak up the sun and explore the island. Lindsey and I are just trying not to think about school!!!😂

Looking for a good drink?🥃 If you are ever in the Riegersburg area, you must pay a visit to David Gölles: House of Whiskey, Gin, and Rum!

We did a tour and then a tasting of their house brand spirits and they did NOT disappoint! Such a cool story and neat experience, with a great vibe and amazing views while we tasted.

On a side note, we ate dinner a couple of nights ago at a restaurant that had an amazing Apple-Balsamic Vinegar with Pumpkin-Seed Oil on our salads. I have talked for 2 days about getting my hands on that vinegar! It was SO good!😋

We discovered that his family farm actually grows, makes, and supplies the vinegar and oil to the restaurant. And the best part, we were able to purchase them at the distillery!!🙌🏻

Are we coming home with some whiskey? Yep. Are we coming home with some oil and vinegar? Yep. Happy campers!😊

Graz, Austria!🇦🇹

We’ve made Weiz our homebase for the last several days - which I’ll share later. So very charming!

We ventured to Graz and enjoyed ALL the historic places. This city has been around since the 1100s and the city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. My “history teacher heart” was so filled!!!🥰

A mix of Baroque and Renaissance architecture help make this city rich in history and absolutely stunning. As we walked through Old Town, narrow streets were lined with shops and restaurants and had the most charming courtyards.🌸 Ornate palaces (now government buildings) seem to be on every street with unique features that make each one slightly different from the next.

The main focal point of this town is the Clock Tower. It sits on the hill in the center of Graz and offers panoramic views of the city. No, we didn’t climb the steps (we took the lift), but we did take the slide back down! So fun!

Underneath the Clock Tower are 26km of tunnels built during WWII when air raids began. These tunnels stretch along the entire Old Town. We were able to walk through some of the tunnels.

Interesting fact, this is one of the only cities the Ottoman Empire never could conquer (thanks to the high fortress walls). Even Napoleon couldn’t take the city. But unfortunately, when Vienna fell to Napoleon the city also fell into his hands. His troops destroyed the fortress around the clock tower, but that’s one reason why we have the amazing views today.

One of the things I love most about this city is it doesn’t feel touristy like many other places. It’s as though it is off the well-beaten path, and I love that!😍

Neuschwanstein Castle🤍

For all my Disney folks, this is the castle that inspired Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World and Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. It’s also the castle you fly over in the ride, Soarin’ at Epcot.🏰

Located in the quaint village of Hohenschawngau, we spent our day touring and exploring this BEAUTIFUL and IMPRESSIVE castle in the foothills of the Alps. Sadly, you can’t take photos or video of the inside(which I understand) so I have none to share.😢 But it was equally as gorgeous and stunning as the outside.

Neuschwanstein is less than 2 hours from Munich, so you can easily do a day trip to it. Tickets need to be bought in advance as they only allot a certain number for each day and will sell out. While we are doing this trip on our own, there are European tour itineraries that include Neuschwanstein in their trips, and I know just the travel agent that can help set this up for you.😉

It truly was like walking through a fairytale today and will forever be a travel highlight for me.🥰

Now on to our next stop…Innsbruck.🇦🇹

Genie+ is becoming the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and the Individual Lightning Lane will now be know as the Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Guests will be able to:

🤩Make Lightning Lane plans before they arrive.

🎢Choose the experiences and times before purchasing.

🤗Book Lightning Lane passes for multiple vacation days, all in a single day.

Here’s how Lightning Lane passes will work beginning July 24th:

✨Lightning Lane Multi Pass: When guests purchase this pass, they can make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in a theme park, in advance of their visit. They will be able to choose available times as they make their selections. On the day of their park visit, once they have used a selections they can check the My Disney Experience app for availability to make additional selections.

✨Lightning Lane Single Pass: This pass will work much like it does today, where guests can secure a time to ride one of the top attractions, but will be able to make their purchase in advance.

📝Planning Ahead: Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days). All other guests, can plan up to 3 days in advance.

Curaçao sunsets!!!🩷💜🧡💛❤️ She did NOT disappoint!!!🤩 Absolutely beautiful!!! The pictures truly don’t do them justice!!!

Of course, Reid went scuba diving everyday and not surprisingly, scuba diving in Curaçao was a fantastic experience! Curaçao is known for its crystal-clear warm waters, excellent visibility, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life.🐠🪼🪸

With scuba diving included in your Sandals stay, you can literally partake in every dive offered. 🙌🏻 He ended up completing 9 dives for the week and that was taking Thursday off to just relax!

The highlight of his dives was a private dive at Klein Curaçao, or Little Curaçao. Klein is a small, uninhabited island off the southeastern coast of Curaçao.🗺️ It was about an hour boat ride from the resort and was highly recommended. It did NOT disappoint!!! Turtles, eels, unique fish, steep drop-offs - you name it!! He said it was well worth the boat trip!!!🤩

There are excursions to Klein Curaçao that non-divers can take. These excursions include snorkeling, swimming, meals or snacks, and exploring the island’s lighthouse and shipwreck. If you get seasick, this may not be the excursion for you. It is VERY rough getting there and Reid said the swells were very high, but taking a catamaran to the island may be a “smoother” ride, if this is something you’re interested in.

But don’t worry, you don’t need to take a boat to experience the marine life of Curaçao. The snorkeling right on the beach of Sandals Royal Curaçao was AMAZING!!! And it’s so easy to visit ANY of the 40+ beaches in Curaçao, which are all unique and have gorgeous features.🩵

The Sandals Royal Curaçao Dive Team was TOP-NOTCH!!! Curaçao is the perfect destination for an amazing scuba diving vacation. This is just one of the MANY reasons we will be visiting this resort again, sooner rather than later!!🤿🇨🇼

Sandals Royal Curacao was our “home away from home” for the week. Nestled in the gated community of Santa Barbara, this resort exudes elegance and charm. Surrounded by 44 acres of oceanfront and a constant coastal breeze, this was the PERFECT Caribbean paradise.🇨🇼🏝️

This resort is part of the Sandals 2.0 portfolio. Being only 2 years old, it is one of the newest Sandals properties. Everything was so crisp, fresh, modern, and yet still charming.

One of the MAJOR perks of being a Sandals guest is scuba diving is included.🙌🏻 In fact, Sandals is the only resort group to be voted one of the Top 5 Dive Operations in the Western Hemisphere by PADI!🤿

Reid has completely fallen in love with scuba diving and Antigua did not disappoint! He completed 7 dives while we were at Sandals Antigua! He even picked up another certification (I’ll share in a separate post😉) while we were there. While there, Greg got his initial certification which was good because Reid needed a dive buddy. I can only imagine the amount of laughs and potential misbehaviors that occurred with those 2.🤦🏼‍♀️ It did not take long for the dive team to embrace them and their antics.😂

Being a Sandals guest means you’re provided with top-of-the-line equipment, state of the art dive boats, and the best dive locations.😍 Plus, they have the most PADI-certified instructors per guest than any resort in the Caribbean. And, they make it so easy and convenient. You literally walk from your room, the pool, or breakfast to the dive shop, pick up your equipment, and walk to the boat. No taxi. No shuttle. No fees!

Not certified? No worry! Many of the resorts have their own scuba certification pools and you can complete the certification program while on-site.🤗 Beginners are welcome!!!

Reid has met so many awesome instructors and other dive enthusiasts on this amazing adventure. He has learned so much from this community.

It’s the first day of summer and I’m finally getting the chance to go through my pictures from our trip to Sandals Grande Antigua last week.😍

Our first trip this summer was perfect! The weather was great, the resort was beautiful, and the laughs were plentiful. It’s always so much fun to travel with friends!💗

Antigua is a beautiful island with stunning beaches. In fact, there are 365 beaches in Antigua and Barbuda which means a different beach for each day of the year.🏝️

While we didn’t have time to visit all of the beaches, Sandals Grande Antigua is located on the pure white-sand beach of Dickenson Bay, which is considered the BEST beach on the island. And, it did NOT disappoint!

Crystal clear water, an awesome breeze, the best resort amenities, good food, full drinks, and no kids (😂) made this the best way to kick-off summer!!!🙌🏻

From scuba diving and hanging with stingrays to lion fish hunting and sightseeing, I’ll share all of the fun things we did this week! Stay tuned! In the meantime, Happy Summer!!!😎
