Yishkuk-e-Bozor (AI Imagination)
, literally meaning "Grey Spring" in Wakhi, is a place located in Valley, , District .
Nowadays, the place is an uninhabited plain, used as a pasture by the locals.
In folklore, however, Yishkuk has a mysterious place. "Yishkuk-e-Bozor", meaning the Bazar of Yishkuk, is a term mentioned in Wakhi songs frequently.
Is it possible that Yishkuk was once inhabited and there was a "Bazar" at Yishkuk in the ancient past?
Or, was Yishkuk a place somewhere else and the name was carried to this area by the immigrants/nomads?

The ( ) are the pulse of the planet. Being at the top of the world, changes happen here before anywhere else, and the beat resonates across the globe. Urgent actions are required to ensure the health of this global asset and the wellbeing of its people. The uniqueness of HKH mountain people should be recognized and prioritized, and ecosystem services protected by halting biodiversity loss and land degradation. The implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the HKH needs to become a global top priority, and keeping global warming below the ambitious 1.5°C target is especially urgent here. To achieve all of this, more sharing of information and more robust regional cooperation are required.
The HKH are the freshwater towers of South Asia. Extending 3500 km (2100 miles) over 8 countries, from in the west to in the east and crossing , , , , & , the HKH is one of the world's greatest mountain systems.
Water originating from the snow, glaciers and rainfall of HKH feed the ten largest river systems in . Together these rivers support the drinking water, irrigation, energy, industry and sanitation needs of 1.3 billion people living in the mountains and downstream. This valuable resource is under increasing threat. Along with a rapidly increasing population which is placing greater demands on water resources, climate change is affecting water availability throughout the HKH and beyond. The Hindu Kush Himalayas are warming about three times faster than the global average. behaviour across the region varies greatly, but most glaciers are retreating. Many human activities, most notably agriculture, are timed with the seasonal flows of water and predictable cycles of rain. However, as the region warms, the hydrological (water) cycle becomes more unpredictable, at times with too much or too little water. The effects on people, communities and ecosystems can be devastating with the most visible impacts including catastrophic floods, landslides and droughts.

Just saw this post on Pamir Times, which somewhat irked so many on a never-ending debate of "WHAT BELONGS TO WHERE", I just want to add my 2 cents of knowledge on the .
Contrary to Google maps' reflections, as per my knowledge, lake is situated in National Park within the boundaries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bordering G-B province and Wakhan corridor of Afghan province of Badakhshan. However, its not the location that determines the property claims but it is the downstream flow of the waters that constitutes the ownership, one may say. All of Karambar's waters flow down, along with various glacial tributaries, -Gilgit river in district of - .
Opinions may differ from person to person and from location to location; the rest assured Karambar remains within Pakistan !
Alhamdulillah !
