Badly damaged Kyiv's main children's hospital "Ohmatdyt" this afternoon after the deadliest russian air strike in months.
Killed and wounded doctors and kids, smashed windows and ripped off panels...

Two beluga whales have been evacuated from the Nemo dolphinarium in Kharkiv due to intensified Russian attacks.

From now on, Plombir & Miranda will live in the largest oceanarium of Europe - the Oceanogràfic de Valencia oceanarium (Spain)

The destruction of the power grid in Kharkiv meant that the aquarium had to rely on generator power, making it challenging to keep the waters cooled.

For years many of the people living in Kharkiv have been considering Russian Federation to be a friend... Constant bombardments of Kharkiv since Feb 24, 2022 finally "opened eyes" even to the most conservative...
After the latest bloody missile hits 65 Kharkiv streets and squares, associated with russia, were renamed during a city council session on Jan. 26.
The main street of Kharkiv downtown, Pushkinsja street, is now named after the 18th-century Ukrainian philosopher Hryhorii Skovoroda.
The Jan. 23 missile strike killed at least 11 Kharkiv residents, including a child, and injured 70...

Meet Yampil, the Asiatic black bear from a bombed-out Ukraine zoo who just found a new home in Scotland
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Yampil was discovered by soldiers who recaptured the devastated city of Lyman during the Kharkiv counteroffensive in the fall of 2022. The bear was found in a menagerie that had long been abandoned by its owners. Almost all the other animals had died of hunger, thirst or were struck by bullets or shrapnel and some were eaten by Russian troops. Yampil narrowly missed the same fate, suffering a concussion from a projectile that landed nearby.

First, he was moved to Kyiv for veterinary care and rehab, then shipped to a zoo in Poland, then to an animal rescue in Belgium, where he spent the past seven months, before landing in the United Kingdom.

Big hearts of many people have made that journey possible: from soldiers and the White Rock Bear Shelter in Kyiv to workers of the Zoo in Poland and the Nature Help Center in Belgium and especially to Brian Curran, owner of Five Sisters Zoo in West Calder, Scotland, whose heart broke when he learned of the plight of the threatened Asiatic black bear.
