We love the dark, mooody recesses of the British galleries of the Met—with its gorgeous carvings, rich tapestries, and secret hidden corners, it’s a stop of many of our tours—but also the perfect place to get lost and pretend you’re in a 19th-century novel.

In the lead-up to the holidays, we’ve loved welcoming visitors on our interactive museum tours from Ireland and France, Brooklyn and Staten Island. Many of our tours stop in The Temple of Dendur, which has the added benefit this time of year of those magnificent Central Park views. Wherever you’re from, we look forward to welcoming you!

fable & lark offers experiential, interactive museum tours inspired by iconic stories. Our fast-paced tours incorporate activities, games, handouts and takeaways; we use the art to illuminate the books, and vice versa. Explore spaces and places in the Metropolitan Museum that are reminscent of the ones in the “Harry Potter” series; look at the real creatures that inspired mythical ones in the Natural History Musuem. Join a fairy-tale themd tour; or one about demi gods and heroes.
