If you’ve seen this rumor floating around, rest assured that it is not true. Apparently this was posted on a satire site and started going around on TikTok. AI doesn’t get satire so when people googled it they got this response and panicked. Just another example of why 1) you should enlist the FREE help of a travel professional who specializes in Disney so you don’t have to rely on hearsay on the internet, an 2) real human intelligence will always have an edge over artificial intelligence.

It's National Use Your Gift Card Day! Did you know that, if you got Disney Gift Cards for Christmas, you can apply them towards the cost of your Disney Parks vacation package, Disney Cruise, or visit to Aulani Resort and Spa? Paying with gift cards can be a great way to save on your vacation as you can sometimes get discounted gift cards through Big Box stores like Sam's Club or, if you have a Target Red Card, you can get 5% off Disney gift cards at Target. There's one caveat to paying with gift cards though: if you were to cancel your vacation and be due any refunds the refunds would go back on the gift cards rather than back into your bank account. So make sure you hold onto those gift cards even after you use them!

But another great reason to book now is that DCL has TWO promotions available currently. Disney+ subscribers can save 50% off the cruise fare for up to 2 children per stateroom sailing with 2 full fare adults on select early 2025 sailings. If early 2025 doesn’t work for you, DCL is offering their 50% off deposit promo for select sailings departing between June 16, 2025 and May 31, 2026. With this promo you can book with only half the required deposit due upfront with the remaining amount deferred to the final payment date.
