I’m watching videos my phone created randomly from
videos and photos. I like this one! Which it titled, “By the Water” which includes water moments from Florida and Alaska! Fun!
I’m so thankful for my career, the tour operators that provided opportunities for me to work in this industry, the amazing guests I have served and the new friendships I’ve started…
Thank you to all who have followed my journey and continue to encourage me as I grow to become better at what I do!
I look forward to many more adventures and I hope our paths cross again as we explore this amazing, fabulous world!
Orca pod… just playing around!
One of my fellow TD’s guest’s captured this when we were out on a Fjords cruise in Resurrection Bay yesterday… My group saw this pod of Orca’s, but it’s so difficult to be in the right spot at the right time to capture this moment!
Back Bay, Boston, MA
The architecture of the older buildings near Boston Public Library is always a stunning sight. You can stand in one spot and you are surrounded by hundreds of years of history, old and new.
Faces & Places w/ Miriam
A highlight of this profession is getting to know other people in this industry- It’s incredibly impressive to learn their personal stories and share a passion for travel, customer service, knowledge and learning. Along the way, I’ve found a ‘tribe’ of friends and colleagues that are incredibly intelligent, interesting witty and hilarious-making it easy to live, love, and laugh!
Over this summer, I had the opportunity to house sit in High Falls, NY (located in the Catskills) AND room with Tour Director/ Manager, Miriam, during an intense, action packed, amazing training opportunity in the Southwest Parks.
My friendship w/ Miriam Bourin began from a brief introduction at an International Association of Tour Directors and Guides conference, Fall 2019. Our friendship grew as we had opportunities to ‘meet-up’ socially and take professional classes with others in our industry, online, during the major shutdowns in our industry-
Her friendship is one of several that’s had opportunity to flourish because of the crazy world circumstances which have caused me and so many, to slow down, take inventory of the people around us, and provide time for us to invest in friendships in a way with which my fast pace world sometimes interferes and doesn’t allow. #thankfulpandemicfalloutmoments
Too much fun with this gal! Thanks Miriam, for being one of the awesome highlights of my summer 2021!
Spontaneity, patience and time have their rewards 😊
