Jamaica: Days in the cool hills

Welcome to our page, in which we introduce you to our beautiful Island, and seek to show you some of its charms. and the experiences that we can offer you as visitors to our shores.

We have six locations on the Island, all of which speak to a different aspect of Jamaican life and society.

Promontory Ridge

This was our first foray into professional hospitality.

It started when this amazing old house came into our possession, and we realized, that, with a little bit of love, and a whole lot of effort, we could create an extraordinary home, of remarkable beauty and charm.

Let us talk about the area first. It is in the cool green hills that surround the hot and steamy city. At about 1500 feet, it is a lot cooler, and with the constant breezes that typically blow, the climate in the area is GREAT.

The property stands on the edge of a steep cliff and falls about 150 feet to the valley floor where strange palms and plants and wildlife grow in great profusion.

The Top floor is called Lookout Point, and it provides a truly remarkable, sweeping view of the city Kingston, the Airport, Port Royal, and even the flickering lights of Portmore care often visible. The rooms are huige and have access to two balconies and two patios.

It is indeed a very “Romantic” venue and attracts couples constantly. One full wedding and many wedding-related events have been successfully held here.

Morning Mist

This is the 3 bedroom apartment located on the bottom of the same building.

It was named after the regular visitation by clouds and mist almost every morning or evening, especially when it is raining. This place is almost buried in gardens. On both sides, above and below, all you see are gardens, birds, flowers, and butterflies. it is hard to believe, in this idyllic place, that you are only a few minutes away from the steamy urban sprawl of Manor Park, and the Kingston heat.

It is our intention to try and develop this location as a place for family occasions such as weddings, birthdays, reunions etc. In these efforts, we have been quite successful and we are told almost all the celebrants love the experience they had on Promontory Ridge.
