Costa Rica highlights 🇨🇷

Currently sitting on a plane home bound so after 11 amazing days in CS, I thought I’d share my highlights:
🦥 a total of 8 sloth sightings. Both 3 and 2 toed 😍
🌊 the most magnificent waterfalls I’ve seen in my life. Nauyaca waterfalls where we could swim and for the daring cliff dive with . A seperate falls we did was the and La Paz waterfalls.
🐅 At Paz there was also a wildlife refuge where animals traded on black market were rescued and kept in the beautiful location.
🌴8 days with where we had the most amazing adventure exploring coffee plantations, goldmines, the Cloud Forest, Manuel Antonio National Park (lots of sloths and monkeys) as well as beaches, spice farms and soooo many hummingbirds (my new fav bird)!
🚣🏽 A day of white water rafting with . Seriously fun!!!!
🍻meeting so many new friends in our kick ass crew. Thanks for the amazing memories 😘😘

Ready to cozy up with friends and celebrate Christmas in July? Then head to Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach for a festive feast featuring fresh seafood platters, turkey with cranberry sauce, festive ham with all the trimmings anddddddd for dessert, sticky date pudding and rhubarb pavlova! Seriously good.

They also have an incredible drinks menu with Four Pillars Spiced Negroni, Festive Orange Spritz, or Spicy Margaritas as you toast to good times and holiday cheer. For those participating in Dry July, the non-alcoholic menu, including a convincing non-alcoholic spicy margarita, has you covered!

syd Double Bays newest hotspot. Definitely make sure to try the Tom Yum Boulabaisse Spaghettini. Hands down the best pasta I’ve had alllllll year 🤩🤩
restaurant Hands down, my favorite Greek restaurant in all of Sydney. Be sure to try the spanakopita pie. They also serve one of the best taramosalatas you’ll ever taste.

Who said live music in Sydney was dead? 🎶 It’s alive and kicking at this new Darlinghurst venue. A whole lot of fun and a little cheeky too!
wongsydney always one of my top 3 restaurants in all of Sydney. My favourite dishes happen to be the black pepper crab and the eggplant which will convert any meat eater.

second visit last month to Lana and it never disappoints. Hosting a chef series with an Italian/Korean inspired menu Lana has the Lux Phil and an impeccable menu to boot.
sydney Absolutely loved this hidden bar with 1800-inspired cocktails to die for including my favourite the paperboy Colada followed closely by the Indian Summer.

And you local afterwork Bar hidden down in the lower levels of a building on Clarence street. Great cocktails and the perfect spot for after work drinks.

📍Pinky Ji- The masterminds behind Don’t Tell Aunty and Daughter-in-Law bring a new gem to Sydney CBD. Get ready for extravagant decor, live entertainment, and the ever-delicious Indian cuisine. Their banquet can be customised to vegetarian options which offers a delightful array of curries!

📍Warike- the OG and still the best! This month a return visit to my absolute favourite Peruvian in Sydney, Warike. They’ve mixed up the menu with a banquet that pays homage to the chefs childhood in Peru.

📍Dean & Nancy- High above Sydney’s skyline is a swanky bar with playful cocktails and on certain evenings live piano or DJ entertainment.

📍Mumu - Obsessed with this South East Asian gem! The food is mouthwatering, and the vibe is always on point no matter when you visit. My favourite spot? Definitely around the bar, where the bartender crafts delicious drinks while a DJ spins funky tracks.

📍Franca- Experience the timeless elegance of a French brasserie with a modern flair – a touch of sophistication in every detail. Perfect for those occasions when you want to impress or indulge in something truly special.

📍Bar Conte- 23 different types of Negronis and delicious Italian food, need I say more?!

📍 Albertos Lounge-At Alberto’s Lounge, it’s all about the perfect blend of delicious food, music, and exceptional wine, creating an atmosphere that’s both lively and laid-back. I absolutely loved every moment I spent there!

Looks like I missed the F1 memo in Melbourne 🙈 But who needs racing when you’re celebrating your evil twin’s belated birthday?

Melbourne always surprises me with new discoveries, even after alllll the trips I’ve done here before. Like a sneak peek of Chicago before it hits Sydney and hitting up classics like and .

Highlight of the trip? The rooftop at the Beverly! Not your typical Melbourne spot, but absolutely loving the Beverly Hills vibe!

And let’s not forget the pure brilliance of the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition at !

📍 takes the crown for my latest haunt. Between the mysterious ambiance, the dimly lit space, and the plush velvet booth seating, it’s safe to say I found my new go-to spot! Can’t wait to return for more!

📍 Maybe Sammy: Ranked in the top 500 bars globally, this venue was fun and with fantastic cocktails I could see this as the perfect first date or friend’s night out vibe!

📍 Obsessed with stunning views and contemporary Asian dishes. Can’t get enough of their fish cakes, kataifi prawns and pandan deep fried ice cream

📍 The masterminds behind my fav Sydney Peruvian spot, Warike, have opened their second gem: in Bondi. Trust me, you need to experience this! Calling all seafood enthusiasts – you won’t find fresher seafood anywhere else.

📍 Bill’s is timeless, and for me, it’s the epitome of a perfect Sunday breakfast. I’ve attempted to recreate it at home, but nothing compares to their ricotta hotcakes with syrup and that irresistible sticky honeycomb butter.

📍Looking for a night of comedy, live shows, and swanky bands all while lounging in plush velvet seating? Look no further than the new bar . Just a heads up, make sure to check their site beforehand, as shows aren’t every night.

📍 The former Mrs Sippy venue has undergone a stunning refurbishment and is now home to Tanuki, a fabulous Japanese restaurant by the owners of Matteo. The food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is buzzing. If you enjoy the lively scene of Double Bay and being seen, this is the spot for you. Personally, a bit too much for this old gal, but still worth checking out for the culinary experience! 🍣

📍 Bartiga- another must-visit spot for those who love the ‘I want to be seen’ vibe of Double Bay! Great cocktails and soak up the atmosphere, especially if you snag a seat outside for some prime people-watching. Turns out frocks come out from 3pm!

Reflecting on my journey in the tech world, I’ve witnessed the transformation towards inclusivity. From starting in tech in a highly male dominated environment to now thriving in a progressive company, I’ve seen the impact of prioritizing diversity and women in the workforce. Yet, there’s still work to be done globally.

Embracing women’s diversity in all aspects is essential for true inclusion.

While it’s fantastic to celebrate women today on socials the real support comes from active involvement on the other 364 days of the year– whether through charity work, mentoring, or other avenues.

Let’s not confine our support to just one day a year. Every day is an opportunity to uplift the women in our lives, our communities and around the world.

January Food Adventures 🤤

After two weeks away in Byron for a bit of a detox/Byron beach doggie adventure holiday I was back and ready to dive into some great Sydney food. Here’s are some highlights:

🍝 Palatzzo Saltato stole my heart with its Italian charm . The Marron was so divine, I shamelessly licked the plate clean... yes, with my fingers! No judgments, just pure foodie joy!

🦐 Ni Hao Bar - always a vibe and perfect for a pre-dinner meal.

🍹 Lobo Bar- my timeless favourite with its dark allure and rum-based cocktails that pack a punch! My kind of bar!

🌙 East Village- from an unassuming pub facade to a hip rooftop oasis three floors up! 🏙

🐟 Nikkei- fusion of Japanese x Peruvian flavours, a seafood lover’s paradise.

🍝 Kindred- like a big hug from nonna, the food is fresh and feels homely.

Wondering how I had never eaten here before?

This magnificently restored century-old house with tranquil views is just a short 30-40 minute drive from Byron and wow 🤩, the food, the relaxed atmosphere and the service was impeccable!

We had the 5 course seafood menu and two massive standouts were the brandy flambé lobster tail and the 10/10 seafood medley 🤤🤤

My only thought is how have I come to Byron so many times and not come here before?!?

Living my best life, one incredible meal at a time! 🍽️🌴

This weekend, we head down to the waterside restaurant at Macquarie Lake called

This is my second visit and honestly, there is nothing you can fault here. Every detail is perfect; the incredible ceilings, the comfortable seating, the spectacular tasting food as well as the presentation of every dish is really impressive!

While we ate a lot of dishes I had to pick 3 of my favs!

- Roasted watermelon- I can’t say that I’ve ever been confused with the taste of watermelon before, but this six hour roasted watermelon had this incredible texture where it almost reminded me of tuna and it was topped with Burrata and aged balsamic
- Singapore chilli style prawns served with warm boager buns 🤤🤤
- The gorgeous and colorful kingfish ceviche with Yuzu, green apple and finger lime
