You can return to your cozy abode at night and keep exploring. Alternatively, consider Manali as your epicenter for daily adventures, including snowy escapades beyond Atal Tunnel.

The eagerly awaited snowfall, originally anticipated on Monday, is making an early entrance. Brace for snow on Saturday, with the possibility of a break on Sunday. However, Monday and Tuesday promise heavy snowfall, turning the landscape into a winter wonderland.

So here comes some cool weather over the Himalayas, and snowfall in some higher regions. The foot hills of Himalayas will get some rain, but unlikely to affect your travel plans.

The valleys are unlikely to get any snowfall now, only the passes will get snowfall, and places at higher elevations.

If you after snow on the ground, head to Manali, and do a day trip to Rohtang or Baralacha La,
Baralacha La will always have more snow on the side of the road than Rohtang Pass.
OR
Head to Srinagar/Gulmarg,
If you heading to Srinagar do a day trip to Gulmarg and take the cable car to Stage 2, you will get plenty of snow. The advantage of staying in Srinagar, is that on each day you can head to different directions like Sonamarg, or Zoji La, or Pahalgam, and come back to Srinagar for the night.
If you plan for Gulmarg, make sure you have booked well in advance, there are no homestays in Gulmarg, and as the travel season has started, Gulmarg gets full.
OR
Head to places beyond Keylong, and there is a good probability of snowfall the further ahead of Keylong like Darcha and Jispa.
OR
Do a trip to Spiti Valley, as the higher places like Kibber, Langza, Chicham, are likely to get some snowfall.

Looks like a surprise snowstorm past middle of Apr.
But it has happened in the past many year ago.

Those in any of those holiday places in Himalayas,
and you experience snowfall from this storm,
go post live images and videos giving name of your location.

Most likely the valley floors may not get snowfall, as temp are a but too positive side, good snowfall mostly in the higher regions.

So if you looking for snowfall, then get to one of these places.

Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Zoji La, Keylong, Rohtang Pass, Kalpa, Chicham.
On 20 Apr, there is a fair change that Leh may also get a bit of snowfall.

Four Tourists lost lives in accident at Khardung la, Two Others injured in Lingshed accident

Leh: 18th Oct:
Four tourists on way to Nubra from Leh met with a dreadful accident costing their lives at Khardungla Top as their vehicle (Thar) they were travelling in skidded off the road due to snowfall and slippery conditions and fell into the deep gorge about 100 mtrs down.

As soon the information was received to the district police, the police party from Police Station Nubra, South and North Pulu and the UT disaster Response Force rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. After hectic efforts, the teams rescued three injured persons while the fourth one had already breathed his last. The injured were shifted to SNM Hospital Leh and on way to Hospital all the three injured also succumbed to their injuries.

It is pertinent to mention here that the road traffic accident had happened due to the inclement weather which led to snowfall at Khardungla Pass, Changla Pass and other upper reaches of the region and the road get Icey and slippery.

In another RTA case an accident had also taken place at Singayla in Lingshed area wherein a Thar vehicle fell down from the road, however both the persons (Tourists from Karnataka) travelling in the vehicle are safe with some minor injuries, they have been immediately shifted to block hospital Khalsi after receiving 1st aid at Lingshed medical centre.

District Police Leh also informed the general public, especially tourist to avoid travelling plan towards Nubra, Pangong and other high altitude areas during the inclement weather.
The citizens are once again requested not to venture out during the the inclement weather period till the the high passes get road traffic worthy, district police Leh seek your cooperation.

Due to heavy snowfall in Lahaul valley, snow has accumulated over Manali - Leh national highway (NH -003) at Baralacha top and road is temporarily closed. Therefore, everyone traveling across Baralacha Pass is directed to stop on the either side of the pass and wait for weather to get better.
