I love this quote and felt every word of it as I wandered the beautiful lands of West Wicklow yesterday. My cells were tingling from the energy of the rustling trees and the gushing water. I was blown away by the beauty of the turning leaves and the bright green acorns. And the earthy smells of damp moss and leaves.. Pure magic!

At this time of year we can feel the Earth's energy settling, the outer growth cycle is coming to an end and soon it will be time for the Earth and us to rest again.

The dominant energies of this threshold are releasing and completion, appreciation and coming into balance. Like the trees, we can shed the old leaves of our years outer growth and plant new roots..

I invite you to join me this Autumn Equinox for a day of nature and ancestral connection, self reflection, earth-based ritual, hiking and community.
We will be slowing down and connecting to the magic and wisdom of the natural world, the seasonal energy and ourselves through a variety of mindfulness techniques and nature based practices.

We will be walking the path of our ancestors to a 5300yr old passage tomb, tuning into the ancient energies of this site and being open and curious to the teachings they may bring us.

It is a time to show gratitude for all the land has given us this year and in doing so deepening our love and connection to the Earth.

So, after a long and much needed break from hosting events I'm really looking forward to gathering a group of beautiful people together once more to wander, explore and connect to the magical and wild land of West Wicklow.

We will be meeting in Bealtaine, the great fertile time when all of nature is flourishing, untamed and wild.

During the first half of the day we'll be tuning into this beautiful Bealtaine energy by connecting deeply with nature through a variety of mindfulness techniques, nature based practices, self reflection and ritual.

We will be slowing right down and tuning into the magic and aliveness of the natural world while also deepening our connection to ourselves.

We will then walk the path of our ancestors to the incredible sacred site of Seefinn, connecting to the ancient energies of this powerful place and the surrounding landscape while being open and curious to the teachings they may bring us.

This gathering will take place in West Wicklow, just 40 minutes from Dublin city centre.

I'm so excited to walk the land and share a beautiful, nourishing and fun-filled day with you..

We are approaching the threshold of Bealtaine, the great fertile time, when the trees come into leaf and the land becomes green and lush once again..

As the daylight increases all of life begins to expand, new growth bursts through and the natural world is filled with abundance and beauty.

I'm so excited to invite you to join me for a day on the land where we'll be tuning into the seasonal energy by connecting with nature and our ancient past through a variety of mindfulness techniques, nature based practices, self reflection and ritual.

We will be connecting with two beautiful and powerful sites in West Wicklow, just 35 minutes from Dublin city centre.
It will be a day of slowing down and tuning into the magic, aliveness and wisdom of the natural world while also deepening our connection to ourselves.

IMBOLC ONLINE GATHERING -1st Feb, 7pm, €20

All around us are signs of the Earth awakening, the life force rising. Everything is moving from being held and cocooned in the dark to awakening into the light.
Imbolc marks the beginning of Spring, a time when life is beginning to stir deep inside the earth. New seeds are also stirring within us, tiny sparks of inspiration, visions, dreams which when nurtured and tended to can glow, grow and come to life.

I feel called to hold an online Imbolc gathering on February 1st to honor the light slowly returning, the shifting energy and also the work done by so many to ensure that Brigids Day has become a new national holiday.

Brigid works directly with the energy of fire and transformation. The fire will be blazing as we gather for soul nourishing evening where we will connect with the profound wisdom of Brigid and our ancient ancestors and also tune into the rhythms of the seasons, the magic of nature and our own inner wisdom through meditation and Earth based ritual.

As we move towards Winter Solstice I'm really feeling the call to spend a day with some of you wonderful people connecting with the land.

In Gaelic the word for Solstice is Grianstad which translates as sun standing still or sun stop..
It is a moment of pause, of transition, when we are invited to step away from our busy lives and take time to tune into the natural world, honour the deep stillness of mid winter and listen for what wants to emerge through us.

I invite you to wrap up warm and cosy and join me for a day of nature and ancestral connection, meditation, self-reflection, hiking, ritual and community.

The festival of Samhain is one of the great fire festivals of our ancient past. If we look to nature at this time of year we notice that the plants are beginning to die back, the leaves and seeds dry and fall.. The natural world retreats and rests in the dark of the year in order to regenerate and grow. It is a beautiful opportunity for us to honour what has ended, send our roots down and strengthen ourselves from within..

I am blessed to currently be living in the heart of Killarney National Park and like so many I am absolutely devastated by the recent fires which have resulted in the loss of unique protected habitats and a number of ancient trees. It feels right to donate any money made at our Bealtaine Gathering to who have committed to planting at least 10000 native trees in South Kerry.

Our event will be a nourishing evening where you will be invited to tune into your own rhythm and that of the natural world. Will we be connecting to the ancient site of Uisneach in the heart of Ireland and calling in the wisdom of our ancient ancestors, the land and the trees.

Our gathering will take place on 5th May (Astrological Bealtaine) at 8pm

Beautiful stillness and a blazing sky at the lake tonight ❤️

Finding balance, this has been a constant practice for me in recent weeks, some days being easier than others..

As we approach Spring Equinox, a time of equal exchange between night and day, I've been exploring polarities.., shadow/ light, masculine/ feminine, joy/ grief, gentleness/ fierceness and how they are balanced in myself and in our environment.

Nature has been a beautiful and constant support and teacher, gently inviting me to tune into her infinite intelligence and wisdom whenever I feel overwhelmed. I've been listening and slowly learning to surrender, trust the cycles and the ebb and flow of life..

Our ancient ancestors were tuned into these cycles, building megalithic tombs which tracked the journey of the sun. One of my favourite sites is Loughcrew, which is aligned with the Autumn and Spring equinoxes. Over the years I have had the privilege of sitting in the chamber as the rising Equinox sun slowly entered the cairn and lit up the beautiful decorated stone at the back of Cairn T, a phenomenon which has been occurring for thousands of years, and which honours the return of the light and the season of Spring, a time of re-birth after a long and dark Winter.

At his challenging time on the planet I feel its increasingly important to reconnect with the earth and the ancient sites, paying respects to all who have gone before us and staying open to receive their wisdom and guidance.

I invite you to join me as we continue our journey around the Celtic Wheel and celebrate the Spring Equinox, an opportunity to re-calibrate our intentions, cultivate self-compassion and consciously plant what we want to harvest as the light returns.

A little about me..

Hello! My name is Deirdre and I grew up in West Wicklow in Ireland. I spent my childhood exploring the ancient tombs near to where I lived. These incredible sites inspired me to become an archaeologist, a career and passion which has taken me to some of the most amazing sites in the world.

In recent years I've been drawn back to Ireland and to the incredible and mysterious ancient archaeology which is right on my doorstep. My aim is to begin to explore and reconnect with some of the lesser known sites in my own county and around Ireland. I have visited many of these but I’m excited to discover so many more.

Personally, I feel that these are sacred sites of huge power and I love nothing more than to visit and just sit and connect. This is actually something I’ve been doing since I was a child and now I’m just doing it in a more conscious way.

Over the years I have brought small groups of dear friends to an ancient site, near to where I grew up, which is particularly special to me. I love observing their excitement and wonder when they see somewhere so mystical, unique and off the beaten track.

Today’s world is so saturated with technology and information is available at the touch of a button. I feel we’ve become disconnected from ourselves and from the natural and ancient world.

Sitting in nature and silence at these sacred sites gives us the rare opportunity to just be and observe the wonder of our world and that of our ancestors. I feel we have so much to learn from our ancient ancestors and visiting these sites helps us to connect to a greater wisdom, a wisdom and a greater understanding of our world and the universe which we’ve become disconnected from over the millennia.

My vision is to connect with like-minded people who would like to share, discover and explore with me. Already these amazing individuals are pouring into my life which I feel is a sign that this is my path. So, please join me on this exciting adventure.
