Amazing how the City decides that everyone needs a clean, safe restroom. The fact that they find taking 5 years to accomplish this effort is simply staggering incompetence by this administration. Check out their list of public restrooms showing hours of operation. The MTA uses tax dollars to install restrooms and then closes them to the public. https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?hl=en&mid=15bUbaKsobajdGL6HLmUpmBuZ_6ILtVQ&ll=40.78094899485981%2C-73.93236190463858&z=14

Mayor Eric Adams on Monday announced plans to build or renovate 82 restrooms over the next five years.

Great news to know that the twin twisting towers known as XI will be finished by Witkoff and Access. Located in NYC along the High Line, between 10th and 11th Avenues, between 17th and 18th Street, neighbors will be thrilled to have the boarded up area surrounding the buildings finally removed and eliminate the scaffolding that has been obstructing views of NYC while strolling along the City's elevated park.
Witkoff and Access have taken over the foreclosed project and expect to resume construction on the project next year, and the companies said they will revitalize the development with substantial investments. It will feature 235 condos, 137 hotel rooms, a spa, a public plaza and 85,000 square feet of commercial space when it is completed, they said.

Follow the science. Get vaccinated, get your boosters, and wear your masks so we can shut this down before it shuts us down.

Save our Cities from more glass towers which reflect light making the city hotter and ricocheting noise to make the city louder!

Congratulations to Ann McDermott for moderating this important session to protect the area around Penn Station from destroying historic buildings.

On Wednesday, December 1st at 7:00PM EST, the Empire Station Coalition, a group of 13 civic organizations opposed to the Governor’s proposed “clear cutting” of numerous blocks surrounding Penn Station to make way for the Empire Station Complex, followed their initial series of Zoom events with a fifth installment focused on the numerous buildings of historical and architectural significance that find themselves at great risk of demolition.

Coalition member organizations and guest speakers addressed the imminent destruction of the Hotel Pennsylvania and other noteworthy buildings as well as Governor Hochul and the Empire State Development Corporation’s continued support for the construction of an anti-urban, uber-dense Hudson Yards East -- the self-proclaimed “Vornado Campus” -- at Penn Station.

We believe that the present Empire Station Complex proposal is an anti-urban juggernaut and would like to share with the public why we believe this to be true and also to hear your concerns and wishes for the site. Stay tuned for more events to come!
