Travel Agents cost more, right?
My love of theme parks started with Opryland, USA in the 80โs. How many can still remember that theme park! The next best thing was Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. Half the fun for me is making the plans and thatโs I decided to become a Travel Agent because I love planning them! I want people to experience the magic like I have enjoyed through years. It sounds like a corny commercial but Disney IS an experience and not just a vacation.
One of the biggest concerns I had before becoming a Travel Agent was the perception that they were ripping people off. When I was in college I used to sell timeshare. It was very short lived, why? Because THAT was a rip off! I hated the fact that I had to convince people in 2 hours that the only way to enjoy a vacation was to invest $60,000 and pay annual fees for the rest of their life but it was all okay because they now โownedโ their vacations... if the week they wanted to travel was available, that is. I think I lasted 6 months. People did not have control over their vacations, they were controlled by fees and where ever their allotted time frame and location was. That is not how I work. You tell me what you want. You tell me what you are looking for. I do what I can to make it. Iโm not gonna try an sell you the most expensive room, itโs expensive enough. We are talking about Disney after all but my pay doesnโt come from you, it comes from Disney. Yes, I get a commission but Iโm not doing this to pay the bills. This is my hobby so to speak and Iโm researching Disney everyday so why not use all this knowledge I have and spread the magic. If you are unsure of what you want, then it is my job to find that out by digging into your brain, itโs okay though because Iโm a nurse and have band-aids๐ฉน . Iโm not saying Iโm perfect but I will try to make your vacation that way.
I assist with more than just booking a hotel. I can help you with making dining reservations in the parks so you can enjoy some breaks, recommend the best places to eat and where to find the iconic treats, the dole whip and cheeseburger egg rolls are a must to try! Did you know that most attractions have a reservation system and everybody gets 3 a day? The most popular rides go fast but with proper planning and early morning coffee, I can snagโem! Alot of people assume that staying on a Disney resort is automatically expensive simply because of the brand name but once you learn of the onsite benefits you receive you may come to find out that there is not much of a difference when compares to some other hotels in the nearby area. You donโt even need a car at Disney, that saves on parking fees. But that is your decision, not mine. I simply give you what you need to know but if I think you might be losing out on some perks that you or family can benefit from, Iโll tell you.
