Exciting news! Today is the start of the 2024 Travel Counsellors Conference at Manchester Central. This year is a special one too as it’s our 30th birthday!

Conference is my favourite business weekend of the year. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet with our fantastic suppliers to get their latest updates (I hear some exciting new destinations are on the cards this year) and build relationships putting me in the best place to help you with your holiday plans. This year I'll be catching up with some new suppliers we'll be working with too.

It's also a chance to learn about new tech and tools from our brilliant head office team to keep us ahead of the game, and the best bit of all I’ll be catching up with all my amazing TC tribe 💞

Some dramatic pictures coming out of Iceland today as the 7th eruption of 2024 hits the Reykjanes Peninsula, closing the Blue Lagoon, this time with lava reaching the car park. It's the 10th eruption in the current phase of activity in the area.

It's one of the things that makes Iceland such a fascinating place to visit but along with frequent storms at any time of year, can lead to plenty of disruption for holiday makers.

Thankfully, the Travel Counsellors team in Iceland are on the case today, as always, re-booking all Blue Lagoon customers to alternative lagoons with zero hassle for our customers who can keep on adventuring rather than rearranging their plans!

Thinking of travelling next November (or this!)? Here are some ideas of great destinations to visit in November.

🕌Oman - November is one of the cooler months in Oman, usually in the low 30s, so it's perfect for a beach holiday, but still comfortable to enjoy some of the many outdoor activities on offer such as hiking to mountain villages, swimming in a wadi, or visiting one of the markets selling the freshly harvested pomegranates, grapes and olives.

🗻Nepal - November typically has the clearest skies over the Himalayas, making it perfect for exploring all of Nepal, but particularly for trekking. The more well known routes such as the Annapurna circuit will be busy which is great if you like meeting like minded adventurers, but I can recommend some more off the beaten path routes (pardon the pun) if you prefer a more solitary trekking experience.

🗽New York - visit towards the end of November (possibly avoiding the busy Thanksgiving weekend) and New York will be in full twinkly winter wonderland mode, but without the crowds. Go ice skating in central park, head to Broadway for the Rockette's Christmas spectacular, or seek out the best festive window displays.
