Wake up Playa! 🥱
Every day Playa del Carmen wakes up together with thousands of workers who provide their services in the name of tourism. Some work in luxurious resorts, others in restaurants, those in the shops on 5th Avenue, taxi drivers, tour guides, diving instructors... But there are thousands more that are still transparent to the eye of the tourist, they are fundamental for their wonderful experience in our beloved city. That's right, thousands of workers wake up every morning to clean up the garbage left over from the party the day before, those from public transport that take everyone to work, the teachers who take care of the children while the parents work, those who make the fundamental tortillas for breakfast, groceries, pharmacies, and OXXO... As well as an army of people who wake up every morning tired but with an attitude to earn a living in this beautiful city.
We are all one city, We are Playa del Carmen!

Dive into the Heart of the Riviera Maya...Dive Playa del Carmen!
🐟🐠🐡🦀🦞🐙🐬🦈
Playa del Carmen is a coastal city located in the heart of the Riviera Maya and thanks to its strategic position it offers convenient access to different areas and diving sites.
The 3 main diving areas can be divided between the reefs of Playa del Carmen, the National Park of Cozumel, and the Cenotes.
Playa del Carmen presents several coastal reefs of different depths suitable for beginners as well as for the most experienced divers. They are characterized by a large amount of marine life such as turtles, rays, moray eels, and much tropical fish, as well as the arrival in the winter season of a dozen female bull sharks that even their presence is impressive, allow us to dive in complete freedom to study them and appreciate their magnitude.
Right in front of Playa del Carmen, we find the famous Island of Cozumel accessible through the ferry or a fast boat in just over half an hour of navigation. In the southwestern part of this beautiful island, there is the presence of large reef formations that is part of the extensive Mesoamerican reef and that is delimited by the area of the Cozumel National Park with its strict protection rules, making it a paradise for marine life and the passage of pelagic fish. Intense blue waters, brightly colored reefs, and exceptionally large species such as groupers, nurse sharks, turtles, and rays make it the perfect place for even the most demanding diver.
Leaving Playa del Carmen we take the road to Tulum with our truck and enter a bit into the jungle we can enjoy the sweet and crystalline water of the Cenotes. These are springs that connect to a system of underground rivers, which gives the Riviera Maya its name. Entering the caverns and caves of these rivers, we can appreciate ancient rock formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and fossils dating back to the Pleistocene, as well as small fish and organisms endemic to this environment. A unique experience that leaves a sense of mysticism even to the most reckless diver.
For all of this, we can safely say that Playa del Carmen is the heart of the Riviera Maya.
