25 years !!
Thought for the day .
Next weekend we will be celebrating 25 years of Encore. Yes really ! It’s hard to believe that our wee rural shop has existed for quarter of a century. What an amazing journey it has been . Running a small business is full of highs and lows but something I have always believed in is trying to support and encourage youngsters to grow and develop in a safe working environment. This has involved employing youngsters from the outset and also working with local schools . The most enlightening part about this is that the youngsters have taught me so much and helped me grow as a person too. I have always tried to ensure a happy relaxed working environment for my amazing staff . This in turn ensures the best experience for our customers and the wider community so our shop has always been full of laughter, love but sometimes tears . It’s not all about the till transactions but also about providing a safe refuge to just “be” indeed we truly hope we give a space to escape from the big bad world ! Supporting, encouraging and collaborating with other small businesses and working with our communities along the way has always been integral to my personal and business ethos too . Our true strength is found in working together to provide something special for our wider communities. As a Mum and of course now a Granny 😀I hope I have encouraged and will continue to encourage all my children and my grandchildren to do the same in all areas of life . Before our 25th birthday celebrations commence in the coming week I would like to thank you all , my fantastic customers , my incredible colleagues both past and present and of course my most wonderful family and friends for putting up with my long hours , absences late arrivals ( and boxed fish 😜) Your amazing support over the past quarter of a century has been invaluable.
