Spring/Summer/Autumn 2021
Tavira Escape and holiday Retreat for Nature lovers. Spring, Summer, Autumn 2021. If you're looking for a quiet hideaway to hang, recharge and enjoy nature at its best, this is it. The house is set among almond, carob and olive trees in front of the Ria Formosa national park where the regional train runs through the Algarve, from Lagos to Vila Real St. Antonio, in Portugal.
Ideal for upto 4 nature lovers who enjoy rural surroundings, but close enough to all amenities. Less than 2.5 kms from the town centre of Tavira, the capital of the Mediterranean diet in Portugal and increasingly a gastronomic hub. Days are long in Summer. Siesta in the afternoon is recommended. Sunset stretches to 21 - 22h.
House - Upper level - 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, terrace overlooking Ria Formosa nature reserve. Great for hanging in hammock, early morning breakfast in high Summer, reading or for a siesta. Ground level - Large sunken lounge area/dining room with Salamandra fireplace. Outdoor dining and chill lounge area on terrace. Barbecue. Clothes washing machine. Plus outside shower available. Compact open, practically equipped American kitchen. CD/Radio music system. All windows and doors have netting to keep insects out. Strictly no smoking house. Vegans and vegetarians most welcome. Outside open parking by house.
Walk or cycle through the Nature reserve, passed the Salinas (salt pans with amazing birdlife) down to the lagoon where you can swim and enjoy the beach. Alternatively walk to town where there is lots to see and happening. In town you can catch ferry to Tavira island with 12 kms of pristine beaches.
