nimal. To see an animal in real life, in their element is breath taking! I want people to feel that when they look at my work.”
Her work is somewhat reminiscent of historic print making called “woodcut” or “xylography.” Rachel studied and graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, it was there where she was influenced by the 16th Century German Artist Hans Lutzelburger. “ I was immediately intrigued by his detailed carving and etching. It drew me in, I would spend hours looking at each etching stroke and appreciating how it all came together to tell his story.” explains Rachel. She truly makes art for art’s sake. Her master pieces are on display and available for purchase at World Champion Taxidermist; Greg‘s Taxidermy in Aplington, Iowa.
