I just love the Haunted Mansion. It debuted at Disneyland in 1969 and has been a fan favorite at Disney World for over 50 years since the park’s opening.
It is just so creative and well done. No matter how many times you ride, you’ll notice something new. It’s not simply a ride, it tells a story- many stories of the 999 happy haunts who live there. Don’t forget to get a magic shot done by a photographer or use a special filter if you purchase Genie+!
Fun Fact: Madame Leota, the fortune teller in the crystal ball, was voiced by Eleanor Audley, the same actress who voiced Lady Tremaine and Maleficent. Her image is based on the likeness of imagineer Leota Toombs, whose daughter continues to work as an imagineer at Disneyland. 💫RESORT SPOTLIGHT: The Grand Floridian✨
This was the first time I stayed at ‘s flagship hotel. I am so glad I got to stay in one of the newly renovated Mary Poppins-themed rooms. If I could purchase the chandelier for my house, I would! The rooms are classy, have plenty of hidden closet space, and a good sized, functional bathroom. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when the lobby renovations are complete in a few short months.
Of note, we especially liked this open water slide. We sometimes feel a little claustrophobic on the enclosed slides, but this one was awesome and we went on it over and over. There’s nothing better than seeing the monorail go by as you come flying down the slide!

🥏I *finally* rode Tron Lightcycle Run and it was amazing! I knew there was a fast launch from 0 to almost 60mph, but the experience was totally different due to your body position on the ride vehicle. You are positioned forward on your belly so you are essentially riding face first into the wind. They are a few traditional seats in the back for those who are uncomfortable riding in this position. You must be 48” tall to ride and it is not for the faint of heart but it is certainly an unforgettable experience!!

🎃Let’s Boo This Thing!🎃
It may have felt like 100 degrees in central Florida this week but Halloween is in the air at ! I had such a great time attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party with my fellow mouseketeers. Many nights in August sold out and they will continue to sell out as it gets closer to Halloween.
There is a special Halloween parade, fireworks, shows, rare character meetups, and shorter ride wait times. While it runs from 7pm to midnight at Magic Kingdom on select nights, your party ticket will actually allow you to enter the park as early as 4pm. Get your tickets before it sells out… it’s to die for! 💀
