Wolf 1118F: 2014-2019
This short video tells the story of the Yellowstone wolf collared as 1118F, who miraculously survived the 2018-2019 winter against all odds.
Edit: not her mate, but a subordinate female got shot outside the park during hunting season.
Lamar Canyon pack 11/2018
Lamar Canyon pack last winter, on November 7th 2018. A video of a great winter day in Yellowstone's Northern Range, where me and only a few others witnessned the Lamar Canyon pack move through the valley. Wolves 926F, "Little T", "Small Dot", and three pups are all seen throughout the short clips that make this video. The three adult wolves found their way across the road easily, and the pups hesitantly did so too after a while. One ten second clip shows all six wolves together, before they rapidly moved off to higher ground. Later, they chased an elk over the road, which they didn't get. This was one of my most memorable days of watching this wild wolf pack in Yellowstone.
Grizzly kills elk calf!
Grizzly kills elk calf! This video shows a grizzly bear chasing a herd of elk and then killing a calf. The footage was shot in Grand Teton National Park, on July 2nd 2019. The elk had been grouped since early morning, but no bear had been seen in the area. Then around 8:30am the collared and tagged grizzly bear came charging out of the tall willows and chased the elk in circles. Some of the elk would get separated, but mostly stuck together. In this footage one can see the final rush, and one elk calf that falls down and the grizzly jumps on it and eventually kills it. The bear then drags it away to thicker bushes.
It was one of my most epic wildlife viewing experiences and the adrenaline went through the roof.
Howling generations
Howling generations. This video shows three generations of wolves howling in Yellowstone National Park. The footage is taken in October and November of 2018. Sound ON logically.
Two wolves and a grizzly bear
Two wolves and a grizzly. Unusually recent posts for my doing, but here's a video of yesterday evening's sighting of a grizzly bear on a carcass. When the sun had set, two wolves came down from the forest, and tried to get their piece of food. The grizzly seemed fairly tolerent and only few times made some movement towards the daring wolves.

Wolf on the move
A wolf on the move. A rare evening post, but as today's viewing of the Junction Butte wolf pack was so marvelous I couldn't resist posting one of the hightlights: the pack moving along the river bank not far from where I was parked. Six of the adults moved East, eventually getting to a carcass. Earlier we had seen all eight adults, and their three pups, as the sun was rising over Lamar Valley. The wolves twice did a nice rally, with their howls echoing through the area, and leaving the crowd astonished.
In this video one of the gray twin sisters trotting.

Badger family
This badger mom has 4 cubs! And in this slow motioned video two cubs wrestle a bit, while the other three animals observe. It's among my favorite scenes I've witnessed in Yellowstone, as badgers, part of the mustelid family, are amongst my favorites, and the cubs are so adorable. Click HD for some quality.
