Top of our list for authenticity and character, the valley’s finest Indian restaurant may be diminutive in size, but it packs a powerful punch. This contemporary and always welcoming Innerleithen-based restaurant featured in TripAdvisor’s Top Ten curry houses of Britain in 2013 – and has never looked back.

All-time favourites sit comfortably alongside mojadar dishes (unique recipes created in the restaurant’s own kitchen) with vegetarians and allergy sufferers superbly catered for too. The pakoras are always special and, if you’re not afraid of the heat, we recommend giving the Naga Chilli Chicken a go.

We were recently contacted by Innerleithen Golf Club to help them explore options to welcome mountain bikers into the club house, and with the huge numbers of riders visiting the Golfie every weekend, we were happy to help.

Our Ed went along to a committee meeting to begin that process and over the last 2 weekends the Golf Club have opened their doors to mountain bikers serving soup, rolls, pies and hot drinks and after this successful trial they will now be open EVERY Saturday for passing mountain bikers.

Great to see this extension of the already amazing offering in Innerleithen for refuelling riders and we look forward to continue to work with the good folks at the Golf Club to support them to diversify and enhance their offer over the coming months.

Well this article doesn't include Innerleithen and Peebles, (which personally I feel is a major failing 😉), but I guess that shows how much there is to see and do in the Borders as you can't fit it all in within a weekend. It does mention Stewart Wilson Tweed Valley Blogger though, so that's a plus! Lovely article with many recommendations of things to see and do not far from our doors. But I definitely suggest spending more than three days in the area. And I definitely suggest staying here at Tweed Valley Lets when you visit!

Activity Destination #3: INNERLEITHEN

This former mill town has reinvented itself in recent years as a hub for outdoorsy types.

Bounded on both sides by dramatic hills and forests, this vibrant town is a magnet for hikers and bikers – plus a hopeful angler or two!

🥾 Whether your walking wish-list is mild or wild, Innerleithen has it all. An easy stroll through Toll Wood to the Tweed and back; a punchy climb through Caberston Forest to visit the Pirn Hill sculptures (pictured); or a there-and-back pilgrimage to the summit of Lee Pen.

🚴‍♂️ Innerleithen has a fearsome reputation for downhill mountain biking. But there’s a more gentle side to cycling here too. Discover Walkerburn or the magical Glen Estate and Loch Eddy in our 10 Classic Bike Routes guide.

🎣 One of the most celebrated rivers in Scotland, the Tweed produces more fish caught to the fly than anywhere else in Britain. The two miles of fishing available at Traquair are particularly beautiful, with a local guide available if needed.

Enjoying the sun today here at Tweed Valley Lets! The blooms of spring are so much nicer with blue sky, sun, and a little warmth from the rays. Looking forward to more of it!
