Part of a lovely thank you note left by a departing guest this morning. I was especially touched by "this place and its people clearly prompt one to return" as it's something I certainly feel myself. Glad to live in such a beautiful and welcoming place!

Enjoying the sun today here at Tweed Valley Lets! The blooms of spring are so much nicer with blue sky, sun, and a little warmth from the rays. Looking forward to more of it!

Well I certainly know where I voted for!

Ok folks, voting is now open for the Best MTB Destination in Scotland 2023!

We are blessed in Scotland with so many exceptional mountain bike destinations. Superb hospitality, welcoming accommodation and of course, an incredible trail network that is appreciated by visitors from across the world. Last year Aberdeenshire took the win, and this is your chance to shout for your favourite destination!

As with previous years, the winners in all other shortlisted categories are being decided by panels of judges and will be announced at the Scottish Mountain Bike Awards - next Thursday at Comrie Croft. Still tickets available if you'd like to celebrate all that is awesome about Scottish Mountain Biking with us.

Scottish Mountain Bike Awards 2023 - THE SHORTLISTS!

The Scottish Mountain Bike Awards are a celebration of Scottish mountain biking and are a huge opportunity to showcase all that is awesome about our industry, the people and the sport.

Every year we are blown away by the nominations we receive across all categories, and this year is no different.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to submit a nomination and many congratulations to those shortlisted. This was a tough job for the panels involved!

Tickets are still available for the Awards ceremony at Comrie Croft on the evening of the 5th October, from 19:30 - link to book tickets in blog.

We've had a last minute cancellation and we now have availability in one of our fantastic flats this weekend (open dates August 4-8)! Ideally located for this weekend's events of the UCI Cycling World Championships. Located yards from the Event Park & Ride, the Tweed Valley Railway Path that takes you to Glentress (and beyond!), and only a mile from Traquair House if you want to catch the start of the Cross-country marathon. Also near to many of the fringe activities taking place in town, as well as a one minute walk away from Durty Brewing taproom opening on Thursday! Link in bio.

Opening this week, just up the road!

The day we have been waiting for has finally arrived. We are opening this Thursday! 🥳 If you're in the Innerleithen area pop on down to Scotland's Freshest Brewery.

Our normal opening hours will be from 4pm to 10pm Thursday to Sunday. But we'll be extending our 'days open' for ad hoc occasions and events. Here's looking at you UCI World Championships.

At this moment, it will be our taproom (the bar) that is open, with the snug, brewery, bike park, and beer garden still to be finished at No. 4 Traquair Road. But we're not waiting any longer. Let's get this party started 🤩🍺

If you're not a beer drinker, we also have a carefully selected range of premium spirits, wines and soft drinks too. But we recommend the house beer obviously.

In just under a month, Scotland will host the biggest cycling event ever held, the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships. We wanted to ensure that you had all the info you needed to have the best time and get the best out of the biggest 10 days in Scottish cycling history.

We have been working with local businesses, GO Tweed Valley and Scottish Borders Council on the collation of a pretty comprehensive programme of fringe events to compliment the racing happening at Glentress. Some pretty cool stuff happening to ensure that over the period of the XC Events happening as part of the World Champs, the Tweed Valley WILL be party valley! Take a look and start planning.
