Long post but a good read..
Good Monday morning to all my facebook family and friends. As I am sitting here this morning, I'm in complete awe of what is going on around the world.
I know we are supposed to be in isolation with just immediate family members. Sounds like a plan that might work. We as a world are playing hide and go seek with a virus.
I am sorry to the friends and families that have lost people in this trying time.
I have a mentor that I reach out to every couple of days and we do a combat pulse check.
In short it is a buddy check. Meaning how is your body, mind, spirit and ammo.
Today the ammo we need to be loading is not one that goes in a weapon its ammo to help our minds.
I know for alot of people being in your home can drive you crazy and its hard to occupy your time when all you hear about is devastation all around the world.
I have a task for each and every one of us. We need to do some soul searching and find out the meaning of our happiness. It should not be how big my house is, how nice my cars are or how much expensive stuff we have.
If you measure your wealth on items, you have 0 self worth. Take this time to connect with someone, play games, write letters, do a daily journal and if you want the platform to be social media, great. It might give us all something to read that is happy.
So I will start today. I am thankful for my amazing wife Courtney Dippo she has been fun to hang out with and we have talked more in depth in the last week than we have in a while. I have a wonderful 9 year old puppy that thinks he is a lap dog...see attached picture. As I write this my buddy Cooper is curled up next to me. We have already been out this morning which is currently a brisk 39 in West Texas.
Cooper was so excited and frisky this morning because of the cold weather. We played catch for about 20 minutes until he was worn out.
I hope you make this a special day because I promise this day is different from every other day. We know that tomorrow will be different too. Let's keep the good vibes going.
My grandfather once told me if the enemy knows you're hurting they are beating you without trying. Stay positive; help someone out. Go out of your normal schedule to reach out to someone. I promise they want to hear from you..
And as I always say Love, Peace and Chicken grease.
