Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a nonprofit program that provides free books to children from birth to age five. The program aims to promote literacy and foster a love of reading by mailing high-quality, age-appropriate books to registered children every month.
Started in 1995 in Tennessee, it has since expanded to multiple countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, the UK, and Ireland.
The program is free for families, with funding coming from Dolly Parton’s foundation, local community partners, and government grants.
Books are carefully selected by experts and tailored to the child’s age group, fostering development at every stage.
It has distributed over 200 million books since its inception.
