While snorkeling with these beloved neighbors we keep our distance to not disturb or spook them.

Even at a healthy distance, their beauty and freediving skills are some of our favorite things to see on our snorkel tours.

Sea creatures are not the only animals you can see on your next sail.

The birds of Molokini fish out on the open ocean during the day and return home to their cliff burrows after sunset to feed their young.

The eroding rock of Molokini’s high edge makes it easy for birds to carve out little nests.

Just imagine – what a life – fishing all day, living without predators, and basking in the warm Hawaiian tradewinds by night with views of Maui, Moloka’i, Lana’i and Kaho’olawe islands.

GoFundMe for Crew Relief in Bio.

To those of you who have had the pleasure of sailing with us at some point, we appreciate the offers of support and inquiries of how to help.

A GoFundMe has been set up for our crew who lost their homes.

Many of us immediately set up our personal Venmo accounts and GoFundMe to fund supplies and support our friends who lost everything.

It’s going to take a massive effort and a long time to rebuild and begin to heal and everything helps.

One thing we’ve learned this week is that the people of Maui are resilient and we’ve got each other’s backs. Maui Strong!

Lahaina isn’t just a place, it is it’s people.

We're facing a major crisis with the recent Lahaina wildfires devastating our town. Among those deeply affected are our cherished team members and crew of Sail Maui, along with their families and loved ones, who have tragically seen their homes, possessions, and even lives shattered.

Your donations will directly aid these displaced individuals, helping them rebuild and recover.

Every donation will directly support the Sail Maui crew members who have been severely impacted by this crisis, helping them rebuild their lives and regain a sense of stability.

Together, we are committed to not only recovering from this adversity but also emerging stronger than before. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you back aboard a Sail Maui charter, as we work diligently to restore and rejuvenate.

Sail Maui Ohana.

Heart-wrenching events unfolded last night and throughout today, our spirits are heavy with grief. Fires swept through Lahaina and left physical and emotional devastation. Our cherished harbor, a cornerstone of our community, along with many of our friend's boats, were destroyed. The weight of this loss is very heavy.

Lahaina is reduced to ashes, along with our offices, homes, our favorite places to eat and drink. Not just places we gathered, but businesses owned by friends we love. Lahaina is faced with the arduous task of rebuilding not only the structures but also our sense of security and place.

Right now, our highest priority is to look after those who have been deeply affected by this event. Some of them lost homes, their possessions, and all of us - our sense of normalcy.

We humbly request your understanding and patience. The task before us is daunting, and we recognize the uncertainty of our immediate future. As such, we're cancelling all Lahaina trips until we dig out from under this.

Our tears are with Lahaina. Our hearts are with those of our Maui family who now face the challenge of piecing together what was lost. For many of us, Lahaina is much more than just a location; it is a cherished piece of the fabric of our lives, and my family's HOME.

I believe in the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity, and the resilience of our crew. We'll get through this together.
