Wonder...
My word of the year is Wonder.
My intention was to slow down and enjoy the little moments. And the universe delivered.
Now, I'm "fine." But on December 9, I found myself in the ER, vomiting from pain in my lower abdomen. Through some imaging, they found a massive cyst on my o***y.
Due to an overwhelmed healthcare system and the holidays, it took 3 weeks to get an MRI and then another 10 days to get the images read.
I was forced to slow down. Sleeping is uncomfortable, so I nap a lot. Driving or being in a car leads to needing a pain pill. I can only stand for 10-15 minutes at a time before I have to sit. My brain has been foggy from pain pills and lack of sleep.
Thankfully, my family, friends, and neighbors have stepped in to help with childcare, entertainment, moral support, and driving.
I'm scheduled for surgery soon, and then, hopefully, this will all be over.
I have some posts I am scheduling and hope to be back to normal, here anyway, by February.
Enjoy our snow day content this weekend, and I hope to stay present in my stories at least over the next couple of weeks.
